Nice, Lowest weight of the year so far. And another lowest weight since 2019. Only 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg) from beating that record. And only 2.7 lbs (1.2 kg) from the “progress goal” of 314.8 lbs (142.8 kg), the weight where I started keeping track back in 2014 And if I'm looking at things right the 52.5 inch (133.4 cm) waist measurement is the lowest recorded on this blog.
Lots of mental energy this morning, but my body is like, “cool story bro”
Brain is saying, “we're going to clean the kitchen, and behind the desk, get the bedroom organized!”
Body is saying, “Yeah, no we're not”
Quite a bit of mental energy today, trying to convert that to physical energy. I'm thinking of all of the stuff that I want to do today. But I'm just sitting here at the computer. I stand up and walk around a bit, but then keep just sitting back down after moving a few things around. I guess the moving the couple of things around is making progress, but it isn't much progress at a time.
Landlord set a text in the group chat we have between Him, Roommate, and I. Apparently there are some complaints about the dog poop piling up by our back door. When Roommate adopted the dog Landlord was nice enough to not charge us the $100/month fee on top of the rent because he was supposed to be a “Road Dog” that kept Roommate company while he was out on the road. All he asked was for us to keep him cleaned up after. Landlord was understanding when Roommate became home bound with his injury. I don't think of the dog as my dog so I don't feel like I should be the one to clean up after him. And besides it feels like I'm doing all of the cleaning around here anyway. Roommate did eventually get up and cleaned up the dog poo outside...at 2 O'clock in the afternoon.
He normally would have had an appointment today (Tuesday), but this week he's going to be seeing a specialist on Thursday about the experimental treatment that they've been doing on his leg for the last few weeks. But I don't understand how he can stay in bed until mid afternoon.
Speaking about cleaning up. The cleaning did start making more progress when I dismantled the computer. I tried to move the desk to clean out behind it, but this sucker is NOT a mobile desk. I ran over to Walmart to buy a can of air to dust out the inside of the computer case. This was the first time I cleaned out the inside of the computer, and wow did it need it. I took the computer outside to dust it out as if I were to have done that inside it would have been like setting off a smoke bomb. Roommate was already grumbling about the dust I've been kicking up trying to clean over the last couple of days.
While I was at Walmart I saw that they had a printer there that was I'm pretty sure the same model that I saw on Amazon for a couple of dollars cheaper and I'd have it immediately without waiting for it to be shipped. But buying a new printer is pretty low on the priority list.
I have to say that the cleaned up desk is really satisfying. I miss having the printer here. But the trash and gunk building up on the desk was really effecting me mentally. I did kind of slip mentally when I found a debit card that expired in 2021 thinking, “Wow, that was five years ago and it had a microchip. And five years later people STILL have a hard time understanding how these chipped cards work in the card readers." Kind of makes me wonder how long it took people to figure out how the magnetic strip cards worked.
Today I was only really able to clean off and underneath the desk. Tomorrow I don't work until afternoon so I think I'll try cleaning off the bookshelf next to my computer desk. I seem to be quickly running out of time to make this post. It was strange at 9pm I was surprised that it was so late, not in the time change sense, but in the since it felt like it should have been closer to 6pm. But then the last two hours just seemed to have evaporated. I feel like there was something else that I was wanting to talk about on here, but my brain is crashing.
