When I stood on the scale this morning I was stunned by the number. I even moved it around to make sure that there wasn't anything stuck underneath it. I think I can go ahead and say that I beat the “progress goal” and I'm about a pound or two away from no longer being Morbidly Obese! I'm sorry, “severe obese” because people got offended by the “morbid” in the title “morbidly obese” Really annoyed at the waist being up. That's up to where it was at the beginning of the year so that projection is flat. 

Wow today was not a very productive day. I just sat here at the computer staring at spreadsheets. I finished off the Gumbo and picked out the recipe that I'll make tomorrow for the lunch plan. I'm going to make Italian Sausage Spinach Soup. This time I'm going to make it with mild sausage as last time I made it I used “Hot Italian Sausage” and it was too spicy for me. I've made this soup before. I don't know where I got the recipe as I didn't write down the link or what book I got it out of. I am kind of surprised that I didn't yet make a recipe video of it yet. 

I did end up playing some Fallout New Vegas. Not much luck in the casinos, but it is fun to wonder the wasteland. There is an interesting game mechanic where if you do too many quests for one faction the other factions will start getting angry at you. In a previous play through I really made the “Caesar's Legion” faction REALLY ANGRY at me so this time around I thought I'd do some quests for them, but the literal second quest that I've come across is to blow up the “New California Republic” monorail. The New California Republic had me killing monster scorpions from the highway. The better parts of Fallout are when there really isn't a “good guy” they're just the different factions trying to survive. Hard to say that these Roman-Wannabe's are the same as any other faction when they're literally wanting you to do terrorism for them. Yeah, The NCR is corrupt and have taxes. But the Legion are literally slavers. Development for the game was really rushed so the storytelling might have had suffered from being rushed.

I tried to do the pan sear bake the steak for dinner this evening. I cooked it for a couple of minutes on each side and then put it in the oven at 400 (204 C) for 15 minutes. Not sure if that really made any difference from just putting it in the oven like I usually do. It had good flavor, but that might have been the steak seasoning that I had picked up a couple of weeks ago. It was a bit over cooked. I think if I tried that again I'll try it for only 10 minutes or maybe a lower temperature.
