Now that it's in the “creepy season” I'm a little disappointed that I missed marking the 666th day sober. That could have been fun. Really not sure what happened to yesterday (Tuesday). Tuesday is my day off so I just kind of laid around surprised by the passing of hours. I went to write down the blog of the day, but was surprised that it was half past midnight. Not that I had much to say about yesterday. I did get a set of Stuffed Bell Pepper Soup made for the coming week's lunches. It was kind of sad last night when Mom was putt...

Keto Month 4 (Day 133) (183/365 Days 2026 Keto)

Skipped the coffee this morning as I was going to the dentist.

So I went to the dentist this morning. After the X-Rays, scans, and poking the doctor had determined that the teeth are a complete loss. The only way foreword would be dentures or implants. It's hard to say that they railroaded me into making a decision right away. But the implants sounded like a good idea at the time and they talked about financing and it looked like it was going to be $620/month for 75 months. Then they said that before the first surgery to remove the teeth would require a payment of $11,000 and then after I healed six months later I would have to pay another $11,200 for the implanting of false teeth. It seemed to be doable at the time. But then I got home and started putting numbers into Quicken and it really didn't look like it would work. I have enough money on my HSA to pay for the first payment (although it didn't go through this morning for some reason) But if they're expecting a $11,000 payment as well as a $620/month pay plan it just isn't going to happen. In the email saying that I was approved for the financial system said that I could cancel within five days of approval, I think I'll go back tomorrow and cancel. It is concerning that the amount they were asking is right about double the amount that I was wanting to put into a down payment on a new house.

Mom said that she'd be willing to go with me to look over the financial stuff with me. And Step-Dad said that a friend of his went to a place in Oklahoma that sounds a bit cheaper, so I'll go checkout a second opinion.

When I got home from the Dentist I tried to use the Air Fryer as Step-Dad suggested using that instead of baking chicken. But I couldn't figure out how to turn it on (“Insert Pot”) so I just baked the drumsticks that I had in the fridge. They were kind of small drumsticks and I was stressed out from the financial situation so I was hungry and I ate some hot dogs after lunch.

I was in a foul mood all day so I didn't do much over the day.

Mom invited Grandma over to watch a movie and Grandma brought over some pizza. She bought some Papa Murphy's take and bake pizza (not sponsored) And she was excited that they had a low carb version.
