It's kind of funny to be frustrated by a weight of 303.2 lbs. I was so close to the “Short Goal” yesterday and it's been so very long since I had weighed less than 300lbs (136 kg) but no today had to be up 2.8lbs (1.3 kg) I'm still down 5.6 lbs (2.5 kg) for the year and the two or three pounds is within daily fluctuations, but it would have been exciting to beat that goal. But then again if I did have a weight under 300 lbs (136 kg) I would wait for a bit to consider that goal “beaten” for a bit just because the weight fluctuates like that.
The morning before work really snuck by me. I woke up at the usual 8am. I got paid today so I spent a lot of time balancing and moving things around on the financial stuff I was surprised to see that it was already 10:30 and I had to be at work at 11. I was kind of glad that I have a morning “ritual” of showering when I wake up and glad that I am skipping breakfast.
When I left for work I wasn't going to eat anything for breakfast, but when I got to work I was feeling HUNGRY. So I decided to have a Slim Jim and a can of Vienna Sausages. I was going to call that “Snack” but to be honest with myself and the post it was a breakfast. Not a very traditional breakfast, but calories are calories and breaking a fast is still breakfast. Balancing on beating myself up too badly because of that as I am trying to do something, but everybody I follow online are really into “eat only when hungry”
At lunch I was again hungry. More hungry than I thought the half pork loin that I brought for lunch would satisfy so I picked up a bag of Pork Rinds and a jar of Queso Blanco cheese. Pork Rinds and Cheese is a good combination and I do think that I overate again for lunch, but that is a really good combination.
Not much happened at work. There was a carryout lady that came into the break room during my lunch to ask what she should do with some damaged fish. All four of us sitting in the break room told her that it just goes to the meat department back room and they'll take care of the damaged item. She didn't know where in the back room to put it though. And everybody there told her that it really didn't matter the people working the meat department would find it and damage it out. I told her that it didn't matter where it went as long as she didn't put it on the hot plate where they seal the packaging for the meat that they wrap in the backroom it didn't matter. She eventually left, presumably to take the fish to the meat backroom. I forgot to check to make sure she didn't put it on the hot plate, but I wouldn't be surprised if she did. I've heard quite a few horror stories of the meat people coming in for their shift and packages of Styrofoam holding rancid pork chops were sitting there for 11+ hours because somebody had put a package on the hot plate. Kind of brings up the question as to why they leave the hot plate on all night, but they say that they don't turn it off, they just leave it on so they can use it whenever they need to. And it isn't that hot anyway.
Another lady called and told me that she knew why the eggs were on recall. She knew it was on recall because we didn't wash the eggs. All eggs sold in American grocery stores are washed. I'm pretty sure it's a law, they're all washed. But no she knew that they weren't washed because you could still see the brown on the shells. Supposedly she knew the eggs were covered in bird poop because the eggs were still brown from all of the poop on the eggs. She insisted that she knew that THEY were just wanting to make people sick, that's why they make the "fancy" eggs brown so they could make people sick. That's not what makes egg shells brown. Bird poop isn't brown. And if they were intentionally making people sick by "forcing" people to eat "bad" eggs, they wouldn't be recalling the eggs. It just so happens that there are some eggs that are making people sick and they're doing a big recall just to be safe. She didn't want to hear any of my points, she knew what the store was doing.
But with the salmonella in the eggs and parasites in lettuce that cause explosive diarrhea I'm really glad that Mom is supplying the eggs and I'm skipping the veggies. Although I did have some rather malodorous movements this evening after work. Mom was really tired this evening so I just prepared some hot dogs for myself. And she had me close the door on the chicken coop. It is an automatic door, but it seems to have some battery issues lately.
