Distracted by finances this morning as this morning I had finally filled the three savings accounts and started the house savings in earnest. I have filled the accounts before over the last month or so, but the last time it was full the car insurance was due that next week but now that's payed off I won't have anything that I'll need to pay for that costs more than a paycheck. (knock on wood)

Since I spent too long staring at spreadsheets this morning I didn't take time to cook lunch although I did cook breakfast so I was good on that.

Today was crazy busy. I guess that's to be expected as it is the beginning of the month and a major holiday is coming up. But people were just angry over the last couple of days. Yes, it's the beginning of the month, you will have to stand in line, and no we don't have more help. A lady threatened that she was going to abandon her cart and leave if we didn't open a register just for her. I just told her goodbye. I called her bluff.

Since I didn't cook lunch before work I just grabbed some of the smoked sausages for lunch and as I had energy drinks in my locker it made for a really cheap lunch (not sponsored). But I think I confirmed that the Jalapeno Cheddar Sausages really make me hurt as after lunch my knees, shins, and ankles felt like they were on fire.

Got distracted by writing out an incident that would make a better store story than a blog post and it was morphing this into a long “Mark Whines About Work” post. The short version is a lady was wanting to exchange some eggs that she had bought on WIC, but she wasn't explaining her situation very well so it sounded like she was wanting a refund. And that is not possible on WIC orders. But she was wanting to exchange the eggs as she “didn't trust them” Okay, sure that is something that we can do as long as she was getting the exact same kind of eggs that she had bought in.

It was quite warm outside today, but it is July. It is kind of fun that today is the halfway day of the year and does look kind of funny on some of the spreadsheets today as the Days left and Current Days was the same number.

As I got off earlier than normal Step-Dad waited until I got home to have dinner. He asked what I was planning on having. I didn't really have a plan, but the burger patties jumped into my mind. He had me grill some for him. For as often I grill the burger patties, I never feel confident that I do very well cooking for other people. He said I did alright though.
