Sober Year 1 (Day 388)
Keto Day 4 (7/365 Days 2026 Keto)

I tried to do meditation last night but I don't remember how it went because the last thing I remember is thinking to myself that I'm starting to meditate and then I woke up this morning. I don't remember any dreams last night. But I also don't remember getting up to go to the bathroom, but my watch said I had 22 steps and that would be how many steps I would have had between my room and the bathroom and back. The sleep record said I had a good sleep score, but I didn't fall asleep until 1:25 and I didn't get much deep sleep.

Another down on the scale today. It's only down 0.2 lbs (3oz or 90 grams) but a down is a down. And it's only 1.3 lbs (0.6 kg) away from the beginning of the year. And if I get under the weight of the start of the year the projections will start showing the weight going down. Right now the yearly projection is showing that I'll be 439.8 lbs (200 kg) by the end of 2027. I might be sharing that a lot, but I'm not really that worried about being over 400 lbs (+180 kg) by the end of next year, it's just the absurdity of gaining that much weight because the beginning of the year makes the projections funny. The projection for this year is showing that massive gain, but the projection that I call “Full Weight Tracking and Projection” is showing that I could be about 300 lbs (136 kg) by the end of 2026. I haven't been under 300 lbs since 2014. But again projection and guess. No reason to get too excited for the day to day, it's more about the change over time.

An interesting thing I've noticed over the last couple of days is that the diameter of the gut hasn't changed much, but the shape of the gut has started to change. The sides of the gut are starting to go in. It does kind of make the front of the gut look like it's starting to stick out.

People were really, really dumb today. In the first hour about four different people locked their payment cards by typing in the wrong PIN Number. This happens from time to time, but very rarely, I've never seen it so often in one day. One lady didn't speak English, no hate it's supposedly a hard language to learn, I rang her order up. She said that the hot chicken bites were separate. Okay, whatever. I told her the total of the first part. It was $113 and some odd cents. She insisted that the chicken bites were separate. Okay, your total is still $113. She points to her head and insists that she is thinking the wrong thing. Okay, I'm not sure what you're thinking, but this is your total I point at the screen. She took 2 $1 bills out and some coins and puts them on the counter in front of me. “This is the enough?” Nope, your total is over $100, you're going to need some more than a couple of dollars and a few coins.

There are some reusable snack baggies hanging on the end of one of the registers with different cartoon/video game characters printed on the front of them. I'm not sure of all that's there but there's one that has Sponge Bob and another has Sonic the Hedgehog. And a lady was rather upset with the Sonic the Hedgehog one. She did NOT like the look on Sonic's face. “Those are the eyes of somebody who is thinking about something!” She didn't like characters who went around with "Thoughts in their heads" I don't know, maybe she was jealous.

People were panicking a lot today because, gasp! WE'RE GOING TO GET AN INCH OF SNOW AOWERFJTAGWHJAPWOVA RUN TO THE STORE BUY EVERYTHING WE'RE GOING TO BE SNOWED IN ALL WEEKEND!!! I wanted to tell everybody to calm down it's just an inch and a half of snow, and the next couple of days are going to be sunny with the high of 46 (8 C) Not exactly balmy, but warm enough to clear the snow.  I'm surprised to see any of the snow pile up, but most of the sidewalks and streets are already thawed out and slushy.

I was scheduled to be a carryout for the last half of the shift today. And I ended up spending an entire hour out collecting carts because everybody declined help with their carts so all of the carts ended up outside. I do have to say that when it was snowing it was the pretty big fluffy snowflakes. Spent a lot of the last half of the day waiting to go home because all of the customers had panic bought earlier in the day. I did take some after getting carts in the snow to take a break and I grabbed a Savage Slim Jim (not sponsored)

When I got home I decided to grill up some Hamburger patties. It's always kind of fun to grill in inclement weather.  Roommate wasn't up when I got home, but I went ahead and grilled two sets of the patties, more out of habit than anything else. But he did come downstairs as I was finishing the grilling.

He sent me some money to go to the liquor store to grab him some "cough medicine" as he was starting to feel sick again and he was tired of cough drops. I don't know how effective cough drops are against sinus infection, but he did seem to feel better with the bottle of Jack. But then again most people start, "feeling better" after a shot or two of Jack. I was tempted to grab a shot myself. I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing. But I knew if I allowed myself to have some he wouldn't have any left over. I'd have a bit, and then a bit, and then a bit, and I'd be back to where I started from.

lol just as I was posting this I had noticed a bit of a typo in the BMI as I had accidentally logged it as 146.4. Considering that 40 is already "Morbidly Obese" I would wonder what a person with a 140+ BMI would look like.
