Keto Day 1 (18/365 Days 2026 Keto)
Disappointing jump on the scale this morning, but I did have a lot of spaghetti last night. Even if I wasn't trying to do Keto, two full plates of pasta really isn't good for trying to lose weight. Still down for the year so most of the projections are going down. Belly was up .5 inches on the measurement, however was surprising that it wasn't up more. My stomach felt like it was really bloated this morning. Again, not sure how much of that is because of the two big plates of pasta I had last night.
I work 2pm to 10 today. The time before work today wasn't very productive as I'm used to waiting around until I have to go to work. That kind of works better when I'm working in the morning and don't have time to do much. But when I'm working in the afternoon all I do is count down how much time I have left before I have to go to work.
I'm seeing posts online talking about THE GREAT SNOWMAGEDDON, ARTIAPOCALYPSE, CATICETRAPHY!! REPENT REPENT THE END IS NIGH! If you're not picking up on it, I'm being sarcastic. I'm seeing some forcasts saying that we're going to get, maybe, an inch of snow (my guess of what's going to happen) and some are showing almost two whole feet (60 cm) of snow coming down in a single day. I just don't see that as a possiblity. That would be interesting to see, but honestly really just smells like social media trying to stir up panic so it gets more clicks. But what it's going to do is make everybody run to the store and act like a jackass while declaring, “I'm not panic buying! I'm just grabbing all of the milk and toilet paper just in case!”
Ran like crazy at work. Was scheduled to be a carryout the entire day. The loud lady from self checkout was the Supervisor all day. But she kept dissociating. She was just standing there while half of the population of South Central Kansas was trying to squeeze through the store. Whoever did the cart and floor inspection for the day seemed to have something against me as they had me as the carryout that was to go out and get carts for most of the day. There were two other carryouts, but I was the one to go out to get carts every half an hour. So I would just come back in from being out for half an hour and I'd come back in and the Supervisor told me to go out again to get carts because it was my turn to go get carts. Whatever it was amazingly nice out there this afternoon.
And all day long people were freaking out because of the weather. I overheard an older lady panting, “It's okay, we're going to survive. We have Milk, mac and cheese, and rice, we are going to survive!” She was chanting that like she was trying to convince herself. I really wish people would calm down, sure because it's annoying to be ran around like crazy because people are panicking, but seriously we're really only going to get a couple inches of snow and it's going to be kind of cold for a couple of days. It's not the end of the world. It's snowed before, and it's going to snow again.
I had the Pizza Casserole for lunch. It tasted alright, but I microwaved it for a bit too long so the cheese and grease didn't work well together in the serving. And by the time it started cooling down it wasn't coming apart right. So I was having giant bites and flaming hot bits of greasy cheese.
This is a bit of a rushed post because I sat down shut down again. And I worked later than I usually do.I did grill some burgers after work I was going to set up a pot of chili, but the weather looks better on Saturday for the chili.
