Only 1.5 lbs (0.7 kg) away from the lowest weight of 2015, which was the second lowest weight recorded. The good news is that Mom's refrigerator is working. The frustrating news is that it's working a bit too well as the chicken I pulled out of the freezer last night was still frozen and didn't have time to bake it before I had to go to work. It should be thawed out by tomorrow I'll try to bake it tomorrow before work. I took another pack of chicken out of the freezer I'm planning on that being thawed by Monday Morning when I will try to bake that before work.  The phone still wasn't...

Sober Year 1 (Day 395)
Keto Week 1 (Day 11) (14/365 Days 2026 Keto)

There's something that's seriously annoying about being the same weight as the day before. I know that you're not supposed to get hung up on the day to day weights, but that's just an irritation.

It was so very satisfying this morning when I checked by bank balances and the rent check had came through and it left me with the amount that I'm wanting to keep for the weekly allowance. Or close enough, it was off by $5, but that's how much I had transferred to the various accounts yesterday.

Today was hopping busy at the store. There was a rumor that tomorrow is going to be, shock, gasp, horror, going to be the average normal temperature for January in Kansas. But the problem is that it's been quite warm this winter so it's going to from highs in the 50's to a high of 22 (-5 C) I guess that's a bit lower than the average high for this time of year, but not exactly EVERYBODY RUN TO THE STORE AND ACT LIKE A JACKASS!! I did see a flurry or two of snow but I'm not seeing any forecasts of any accumulation.

It was kind of frustrating when I first got to work I had opened a register that nobody had been yet and the first three people had $12 orders, and all three people paid with $100 bills. Since the pan had just opened for the day there wasn't much money in it and that register doesn't open with many $20 bills so the third guy ended up with a bunch of $10's and $5's because I had used up anything bigger. Guy was upset that he got $35 worth of $5's because I didn't have any $20's. I told him that I had just opened the drawer and he paid for a $11 order with a $100 bill, I didn't have much in the drawer yet. I nervously asked the next guy in line if he was paying with a $100 bill as he only had a couple of items as well. He said that he had a debit card and asked if that was okay. I told him that was great because I had used up all of the money in my drawer because everybody so far had been using large bills.

There was a lady working today that was supposed to be transferring back to her hometown. She was only working at our store while she was “home” for the holidays. But her transfer hasn't gone through yet and she hadn't moved back home yet so she picked up some hours today. Which I was appreciative of because Fridays they have a “4x Fuel Points” promotion and there's another “500 Fuel Points when you Spend $75+” going on (not sponsored) so with the fuel point promotions and people freaking out because of the weather we definitely kept her busy.

I tightened my shoelaces and the laces on the right shoe didn't quite snap, but the cloth like “sheathe” around the cord kind of popped so it stayed tied, but it was kind of ruined. I was already planning on replacing these shoes in a couple of weeks. I was tempted to just go ahead and transferring money from savings and just buy the new shoes, but transferring money back and forth between savings and checking too often causes extra fees, so I just bought a new set of laces. I'll be sure to keep these laces just in case I need them eventually. I am surprised that the shoes that I have had lasted the entire year.

Roommate sent me some money to pick up some cases of soda for him as the 12 packs are on sale buy 2 Get 2 Free (Not Sponsored) I had chose the slower free transfer to bank option to receive the money transfer and when I checked out at the self checkout I wasn't paying attention and accidentally rang up an extra 12 pack of soda. I didn't realize it until I was walking out to the car that these Buy 2 Get 2 $11.49 cases of soda really shouldn't cost $38.31 for the soda and shoelaces. I went back to customer service to get a refund for the extra case that I rang up. I had to explain several times that I had accidentally rang up the extra case of soda before she understood that I needed a refund for the extra case of soda. Unfortunately it takes a while for the refund to go through. So my allowance for the week went from $45 to $6.69 becasue I wasn't paying attention. The refund should be in the bank tomorrow or Tuesday as Monday is Martin Luther King Day. I'm expecting the $20 from Roommate to come in on Tuesday as well as it was later in the day when he sent it. So I'll have $38 whenever the transfers and refunds come through.

This post is a bit later than I was expecting to make, it's just when I got home I kind of shut down sitting at the computer.
