Up 4.7 lbs (2.1 kg) from yesterday. I didn't think that I even ate/drank five pounds worth of anything yesterday. I was scheduled to work 11am to 7pm today. And strangely I was scheduled to have a half hour lunch today so I didn't have the time to run home to have lunch so I had some of the Johnsonville Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausages (not sponsored)  Interestingly my feet and knees didn't hurt like the last couple of times I had those during the lunch break. And usually when I'm a cashier all day my feet and knees are screaming at me. But tonight the left foot is a bit sore, but I can still stand up and walk around. I w...

Keto Day 5 (8/365 Days 2026 Keto)

Brain is just scattered today. I worked 10am to 7 today. And even two hours after I got off my brain is still just bounding around like crazy. I just seem can't get a single sentence together. (Doesn't help that I forgot my note in my apron in my locker at work.)

I was kind of slow waking up. Not really in a struggling way, just kind of slow plodding wake up. I did start rushing as I noticed it was coming up on 9:30 and I had to work at 10 and I was just starting to cook breakfast. So I was able to gulp down the bacon and eggs and a can of Low Carb Monster before work, but that was about all I was able to do before rushing off to work. Thankfully the snow from yesterday had mostly melted so I didn't have to scrape out the car. And the roads were all dry. Did make me laugh at the idea that people panicking yesterday that, “were going to be snowed in all weekend!”

Of course I had to deal with people panic buying today because they “couldn't get out yesterday so they had to go ONE WHOLE DAY without going to the store!”

First half of the day I really just felt like I was waiting to get out of there. And a lot of the first half there was actually two people in customer service and we had three carryouts so I really was able to be a Supervisor. It did kind of feel weird to tell the Customer Service Manager to open a register and be a cashier, but that's the job and she never argued against me.

Second half of the day I was scheduled to be a Cashier for the rest of the day. And woah, Nelly it was swarmed busy. It was like every order was like those $300+ orders. The frustration was that I was the only cashier and the only carryout was a chatty new kid who was more focused on chatting with the supervisor than focusing on bagging peoples items.

It was strange as he seemed to be obsessed with the combination of Cottage cheese and Baked Potatoes and asked just about everybody he could if they had tried Baked potatoes and Cottage Cheese together. Baked Potatoes aren't Keto, and I've never been a big fan of baked potatoes anyway. He kept insisting that that's what I should be eating because those are, “Really White foods and well, you know...” he's Hispanic. He seemed to be obsessed with people's ethnicity. He asked me if I didn't think that the Supervisor at the time wasn't Native American (he very obviously is) what would I think his race was. I didn't answer. Because if I couldn't see if he was Native American, I wouldn't be able to see.

When I got off I did pick up a bag of salad as I was planning on grilling some bone-in pork chops that were buy one get one free last week (not sponsored) I had just bought the salad as those pork chops were quite small and I didn't think that they'd be very satisfying. Roommate did let me grill some for him. I can't say that I'm a big fan of these bone-in pork loin chops. It seemed like every bite I tried to take had some bone in it.

Tried to start a Chat GPT thread on how to save more money, but was too Skitter Brained to make much progress on that front. I think I'm going to go ahead and post this and go try to meditate to get my brain back under control.
