Was woken up in the middle of the night to Roommate screaming in the bathroom.
An up today, but ups and downs happen. And it is in the kind of pattern of two or three downs and then an up. Again not sure if that's really a pattern or if just random noise that my brain is seeing as a pattern. It is up from yesterday, but still down for the year so most of the projections are showing it go down.
I was going to set up the slow cooker with a roast but as I was about to do that Roommate came downstairs complaining about how his stomach hurts. So I didn't feel like it was very polite to set up a slow cooker to smell all day while he had a stomach ache.
I'm trying to think about what happened today as I was kind of a little bit of everywhere. I was scheduled to be a carryout for most of the first half, but I ended up watching self checkout and being a checker and directing people as if I were the supervisor. Too busy to take any notes. I remember thinking, “oh I need to write that down” but I don't remember what it was that I was supposed to write down as every time I would get my note out somebody else would shout for me to help them. It really wasn't that busy, it was just that people were stressed out. I was seriously, dangerously, craving potato chips. I could have probably annihilated a party sized bag of Lays (not sponsored )
When I came home for lunch I was surprised that the bags of soup were still a little slushy. But popping a serving in the microwave for a couple of minutes warmed it up fine. Roommate was taking a nap. There was a really foul odor in the apartment and he was quite quiet and the dog was out and about. I was home for a while and was actually starting to get nervous before I heard him cough upstairs. He usually has the dog in the room with him when he takes a nap, but I guess he didn't want to chase after the dog. Coming back from lunch I was still just CRAVING salty chips. I had noticed that I was coming in a few minutes early from lunch so I thought I would just pick up a can of peanuts and munch those for the few minutes before I came back from lunch. Self checkout was full, there was a line a the register because the Supervisor wasn't paying attention so I ran up to the desk where there was just a single person buying a lottery ticket...and then the guy working at the service desk was feeling chatty and I spent the last 6 minutes of my lunch break staring at the guy at the customer service desk flirt with a lady who was, easily, twice his age. I was able to grab a couple handfuls of peanuts before going back to work, but spent the last half of the day craving salt.
I was working the service desk for most of the second half. Working the desk is easy money. Seriously you're just standing there most of the day. The frustration there is whenever I'm scheduled to work the desk I don't reach my “Step Goal” so tomorrow I'll get a notification saying, “You didn't reach all of your goals yesterday, will today be the day you reach them?” I pretty much ran like crazy, but the watch didn't think that I was very active as I was mostly just “standing still” according to my watch.
When I got home Roommate was moaning in pain still so I thought I'd grill outside to mitigate any smell that might trigger him. I only had the one steak as I grilled the other one back on Tuesday. He still spent a good chunk of the evening breathing heavily like he was about to spew as I ate. He seemed to be alright when he ordered some fast food for himself.
This is going to be another early post, but I feel like it was long enough and I'm feeling tired so I'm going to go try to meditate
