Sober Month 9 (Day 300)
I didn't take the chance to make the blog post yesterday's as I had gotten distracted by a word matching game on my phone. I am not exaggerating when I say that I just played that game the entire day. It has a “daily challenge” that lets you play the previous days challenges. I wanted to get caught up so I just played the daily challenges for all of October and got a bit into September. It was about midnight when I had realized that I hadn't made any effort to make the post.
I did the weekly grocery shopping while Roommate was at his appointment like usual. I was able to keep the bill close to the $100 like I was hoping that I'd keep it to. I was adding it up as I was going along and it looked like it was going to be under budget so I picked up a box of Mac and Cheese to go with the last of the Taco Chili that I had in the fridge. When the order totaled up I had to laugh as the total had came to $101.56 and that box of Mac and Cheese was $1.50. I just laughed at “God being a dick” again. I was hoping to keep the grocery bill to around $100, grabbed a little something extra and the bill came to that amount extra over. -_- There's a “round up to the dollar” feature that I use that makes the math a little easier so the grand total was $102. So if I can keep next week's grocery bill under $130 that will mean that I will be able to keep the “Bill Savings” account over the $100 minimum and that'll save me the $3 fee on that account.
I think God took the sentiment personally as the grocery run was smaller than I normally get I was able to run home and weigh in and shower before Roommate was done with his appointment. He called for me to pick him up right as I was weighing in and as I stepped off of the scale the toes on my left foot found the small file cabinet I keep in the living room. While I was reacting to that and putting my shoes on the right shoestring exploded as I was tying my shoes. The string didn't just snap, it completely unfrilled and disintegrated like Thanos with the Infinity Stones. So after I picked up Roommate from his appointment I ran by the store to grab a new set of shoestrings. I also grabbed another gallon of milk so that was technically a grocery run.
I had cooked a batch of Low Carb Jambalaya for the lunch plan for the week. What was unfortunate is that the last part of the cooking is to let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. And I had set the lunchboxes on the stove waiting for the soup(stew?) to finish cooking, but I has set the plastic lids next to the pot as it cooked and one of the lids slid over against the pot, melting the hell out of that lid. So that lunchbox is done. Thankfully I have plenty more. I just have to be careful to not pile up the stack of plastic lids on a stove while the stove is still on.
I did take inventory and make a meal plan. I was surprised to find that I was short a meal to make a list of full seven different meals for the week. I used the excuse of grabbing another box of Tuna Helper (not sponsored) to run to the store and grab a bag of chips as I was getting really peckish later in the afternoon. When I ran by the store the kid running Self Checkout had asked if I had quit because he hadn't seen me in a while. No I hadn't quit it was just that I used the last week of vacation last week, I just happened to have yesterday off, and Tuesdays are my designated days off.
I've been watching some Cosplay Music Videos and it would be fun to get back into working on the Cosplay, but as always bills come first. I'm excited that next week I'm going to finally have all of the bills caught up. I'm not going to have enough to buy more filament for a bit, but so excited to finally have all of the bills ahead for the next month. I'm also going to have to start working on the waistline if I'm ever going to fit into an Iron-man or a Spartan Armor Suit. It's still going to be a bit before I get back to the Keto, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to the YMCA. But I'm sure that there are other things I can do to try to lose some mass and inches.
Made a math error a little while ago. NOW I'm 10 months sober
