It's so freaking close. It is exciting to see the weight so close to the 300 lbs (136 kg) point. The last time my weight was this low I was doing meal elimination shakes that I bought from my sister. As I cooked and ate breakfast Mom told me that ever since she had let her chickens have the run of the yard they haven't gone through nearly as much of their feed as they used to. I do have to think that it must improve the quality of the eggs All day long today I had a feeling that I was supposed to be doing something, or working on something. Spent the day pacing back and forth between the bedroom and the kitchen thinking that one of those places had something for me to do....

Sober Month 9 (Day 286)

I didn't get a chance to get around to making a blog post last night as Roommate's TV was having a graphical issue that made it kind of look like an old CRT TV so he got the idea of us watching a movie called Primitive War (that I keep getting the title wrong and keep calling it “primal war”) The movie takes place in 1968 Vietnam as an American recon team is sent into the jungle to find a Green Beret team that had mysteriously gone missing. And they quickly found out that there was a Soviet experiment that went sideways and there were dinosaurs all over the jungle. So it was a Vietnam war movie mixed with Jurassic Park. It, surprisingly, had a lot of character development of the seven member squad. Don't ask me any of their names as I was watching this movie late at night after a long day at work. But this type of movie really didn't need to go that far into the various characters, saying that in a good way. Really the only thing that was bad with the movie was some of the dinosaur models were kind of wonky. The T-Rex's tails were all clunked up and it was hard to see the raptors as whenever they were on screen it was a middle of a firefight and they kept spinning the camera everywhere. So it was good at trying to simulate the randomness of a firefight against a swarm of turkey sized feathered dinosaurs, but it gets kind of epileptic at time. Also the sauropod models faces look strange and their bodies look kind of emaciated. The effects weren't bad, it's just that the dinosaurs didn't look very healthy.

Roommate had me run him by Walmart this afternoon so he could pick up a new TV and he also grabbed a new vacuum cleaner as he wants to have the place cleaned up a bit before he calls the Landlord in a couple of weeks. Back in the beginning of the summer Landlord had hired a guy to install a new HVAC system he had finished the AC that day but he said that he'd be back the next week to finish setting up the heater. But has yet to come back. It felt wrong to complain about the lack of a heater when it was getting up to the 90's (+32 C) outside, however by the time November comes in we're going to want to have a heater. I just hope it doesn't cause any drama waiting so long to get that addressed. I should probably stop worrying about that kind of drama, it never arises.

There is currently a Digital Coupon on the 24 packs of soda (not sponsored) and Roommate sent me some money when I went to work so I could take advantage of the sale. There was also a digital coupon for Digiorno Pizza and the chips were on Buy One Get One so I went ahead and took advantage of those deals as well. Not Ketogenic, but I'm not going to count the Keto Days for a little while.

Work was kind of strange tonight. I was the Person in Charge tonight. And because of a mix up on the schedule I only worked a half day, and the other half I'll be working on Thursday. But as just about everything was done I just kind of wondered around the store for four hours. I tried to tell myself that I was straightening the shelves. But I was spending more time just breaking down empty boxes and putting away abandoned items. When I had first gotten there I had asked the manager if there was anything I needed to watch out for she had told me that I should make sure that the girl running the produce department work on filling her items. But the few times I tried to talk to her she acted like a skittish kitten. Like somebody who is constantly attacked. I've heard stories about how she seems to get out of doing any of her work, a lot of people think that she just doesn't want to work. I can't blame her, but working is what we all have to do. She had disappeared a couple of hours into my shift. I hope that neither of us get into trouble for her not doing what she was supposed to be doing. But I'm getting the feeling that she's on a shorter thread than I am.
