Keto Week 3 (Day 22)
The last couple of days I've noticed that my feet hasn't hurt in the morning. Not sure if that's because I've been off and not walking around all of the time or because I'm back to the Keto. Last week my feet were hurting so I'm not sure that it's completely because of the diet.
Here are some things that I had forgotten to mention yesterday because the evening caught up with me quite quickly:
I had gotten a new Debit card in the mail and I was out of seltzer so I ran over to the store to activate the card and get more water. Out of habit I had used the store's app to pay for the water and I was heading out of the store when I caught myself and went to the ATM and activated my card.
And then coming home from the store I got a text from Verizon saying that if I didn't pay my phone bill in two days they'll cut off the service. That was a bit of frustrating news. I knew that the phone bill was late, but I was budgeting this week to be the rent payment (which still hasn't gone through) this next Thursday (the 18th) pay September's internet bill, and then next week (25th) pay the phone bill for September and October. But if they're cutting off service two days from Monday, that plan isn't going to work. Doing the math I figured that if I transferred all of the money from all of my savings accounts I'll have enough money to pay the September phone bill and have about $30 left after the rent check came through. It's just really annoying to make multiple payments to the same bill. But I didn't have any other option. I'm just getting really tired of running my ass off just to stand still.
When I tried to attach the debit card to the store's app it gave an error that said I had to contact the bank to get cleared. I went by the bank to get it cleared and she said that it was a common error and the only real "fix" was to reinstall the app or get a new card printed. I just had her reprint a new card. And since I was already at the bank I transferred the money from my savings accounts.
When I did the grocery shopping today I came across a Digital Coupon for by one get one free Monster Energy Drink (not sponsored) what was kind of funny was the Digital Coupon was buy one get one, but the sale with the shoppers card is buy two get one free. so I was kind of curious as to how many I would get for free if I had bought three of them with the buy two get one and buy one get one. I checked the receipt and it had two of them for free. The flavor was Monster Energy Ultra Black (not sponsored) it was kind of a sour cherry flavor.
I was excited that the grocery bill came in under budget. The weekly budget that I want to stick to is $150, and this week I had enough meat in the freezer to have dinners already this week so I just stuck to the soup for the week. I did have to pick up some paper towels, toilet paper, and some supplements that brought the total up to $130. But at least have to buy that stuff very often.
Back on Saturday at my Niece's birthday party Mom had promised me some Member's Mark (not sponsored, and lol I almost called them Maker's Mark) jumbo hot dogs. And when I went over to her house to pick them up she was HEATED about the situation surrounding the assassination of Mr Charlie Kirk. I wasn't prepared for the two hour profanity filled rant. She doesn't cuss very often so it is a little more impactful when she's throwing around “F-bombs” later in the evening she sent a text saying that she doesn't hate anybody. I felt bad for not responding, but I didn't want to trigger another two hour rant.
Today's lunch was chicken quarters, still a pain in the ass to eat these baked.
I cooked the chicken right before cooking the Lasagna Soup for the lunch plan. Cooking that soup took a bit longer than I was expecting. And the clean up was a real bear. The cheeses really congealed around the sides of the pot and the spoon. I am really hoping that the individual dishes will be that hard to clean up after.
Took inventory after cooking the soup and it looks like a good chunk of next week's groceries are also planned for. It would be nice if next week's grocery bill is under budget as well.
The flies are going crazy around here today. There are usually a lot of flies around this time of year, but they've been going down lately but I guess they got a second wind today because they've just been buzzing like crazy. They should be gone in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that.
I have to say that today went by really quickly. Hard to believe that it's Wednesday already.
