Sober Month 8
(Day 256)
Keto Week 1 (Day 11)
Bit of a slow start to the day. It was really good weather for sitting around zoning out.
Pretty good track on weight loss this month so far. Net loss of 4lbs (1.8 kg) Fascinating coincidence that the difference from yesterday in pounds is the difference so far for the month in kilograms.
I was a bit nervous about the trashcan. As I had forgotten to take it to the curb last week it was really overfilled. I had took it out to the curb on Wednesday this week, but as Labor Day was this week the trash collection was delayed a day. However if I didn't take it out there I knew I would forget it and that wouldn't work out very well. What had made me nervous as when I took Roommate to his appointment it was clear that the trash truck had yet to be by. And when I dropped him off an ran back home because I had forgotten to write the shopping list on my phone it looked like the trash truck had been by...for most of the dumpsters in the neighborhood. But the dumpsters at the curb outside of my house were still filled. But thankfully when Roommate had called and asked for a pickup the trash truck had been by. I mean it would have really sucked if they had forgotten or for some reason drove by our dumpster. Strangely at the bottom of the dumpster there are cases of the seltzer water and some other packaging still jammed in there. Probably because of how much I had to jam the lid closed because I had forgotten to take the dumpster out to the curb last week. I'll have to reach in there and loosen it up sometime this week so when collection comes next week it'll go with the rest.
I did do the grocery shopping today when Roommate was done with his appointment. He also did a bit of shopping for himself which was convenient for me because I let him use my shoppers card so I get more fuel points when he shops. He also gave me some more money to help with bills. Not as much as he had promised, but donations are appreciated. And when we got done with the groceries I ran by to get gas for the car. And thanks to the fuel points I was able to get the full $1/gallon off so I was able to fill up the car from a quarter of the tank for only $23.50 less than half of what I budget for the monthly fuel that I have in the financial program on my computer. I'm just going to have to remember on Tuesday that I already did grocery shopping this week on Friday.
I decided to go ahead and cook the recipe that I had planned for the next batch of lunches. Because I knew that would be driving me crazy if I had gotten the stuff and just let it sit there. It was the stuff to make the AI Chili. I know that I just had chili a week or so ago. But this week looks like good weather for chili. After cooking the chili I decided to clean out the fridge and take inventory again but my brain was really quite distracted today so I'm not sure how accurate the count was. Again I do know that I have enough food to last the next week or so, I just don't know how much of what stuff. I did pick up a bag of chicken quarters because of how often I have chicken drumsticks and thighs baked together and I figured that the quarters are basically that, but when I put them in the vacuum seal bags I was disappointed on the poor quality of the quarters. Very few of them seemed to be the drumstick and thigh connected together that I was expecting. But that bag was considerably cheaper than the packs that I would have normally bought. But a lot of them are kind of these chicken thighs with crunched up pathetic little leg bones connected to them. When I get around to cooking them I'm going to have to chew thoroughly so I'm not just swallowing bones.
Did a little bit more on the Minecraft Staircase. Just kind of clearing out the ceiling of the cave that I've dug. It really is quite hypnotic to dig like I've been doing. Not sure how productive it is, but it is quite relaxing.
