Not bad down on the scale, but waist being up is annoying that it is up to the measurement that it was at the beginning of the year.
Woke up with a Text Message from the Storage Company asking if I would accept messages from them. Then a bit later I got a call from them letting me know that the bill was due and they would be willing to take the payment over the phone. But the storage place is literally the direction I drive to get to work. I have to drive by the storage place to get to work so I stopped by. Also I wanted to get a paper receipt to show the payment. I'm not sure why I'm keeping the paper receipts for the storage, it just seems like a good idea.
Got the Store Story uploaded for the day. Feels good to have a streak going. Missed the first Friday of the month, but did get the four following videos done.
I was able to cook the pork loin for lunch today and I remembered to cut it in half to have half today for lunch and then the other half tomorrow for lunch. At lunch today the half pork loin looked kind of small in the lunchbox so I picked up a container of cottage cheese to go with. I was kind of annoyed at a lady when I clocked out for lunch I went to the dairy cooler wall and a lady was studying the cottage cheese for herself. And she just stood there. She even turned around and said, “I bet you'd like me to move, huh.” I didn't have a response other than, “Please” And she just stood there for a while longer. I didn't say anything as I was using a lot of self control to not shove her out of the way. She did eventually move grumbling about how I was just standing there staring at her. Yeah, MOVE.
And that was what the day was like sure it was really busy at times, it would fade from time to time, but it was like a tide moving in when it got busy. Almost like people were coordinating when everybody charged to the front of the store. And of course people didn't seem to see that everybody came up to checkout at the same time as everybody else so people would get cranky that we weren't reacting to the lines that built up, but it really was everybody charged to the front at the same time and there really wasn't time to react. And even when it was slow people were just assholes to each other. I was bounced back and forth between being the only carry out and the service desk by myself so I couldn't open another register myself and the Supervisor didn't seem to react when it did get busy.
I don't know if I should judge her relationships (at least she has one) but her fiancee had just gotten out of prison and moved back from Texas. I do not know what he was in for and I didn't ask as I didn't think it was my business. But the strange thing is when he's in the store with her he has his hand gripped around the back of her neck. It is like he's ready to grab her and yank her down. She isn't complaining so I shouldn't dwell on it, it is strange though.
After work was strange I got off at 7:30 and when I got home I just kind of shut down. There is always a bit of recovery after work. But I just kind of sat around flat lined. Should probably fall asleep pretty quickly tonight.
