I didn't get the Weight Loss Update Video done for the week. I recorded the moment of standing on the scale, but didn't get the vlog part of it done. I did think about doing it after work this evening. But considering the store story video took about 9 hours to edit a 8 minute video I didn't think that I would have time to get it done. And I definitely wouldn't have time to do a video and a blog post.

Mom cooked sausage patties with some eggs and cheese this morning for breakfast. She cooks the sausage patties better than I do. I imagine that she has a bit more practice than I do.

I did get the pork steak baked for the lunch break, it was pretty close to the time I had to leave for work.

I was supervisor the entire day today. It wasn't quite as busy as I thought it was going to be. And apparently not as busy as the person writing the schedule thought it was going to be as the hardest challenge for the day was keeping the carryouts busy. At one point I had five courtesy clerks just huddled at the service desk just chatting. And some of the people working were the kind of people that I have to tell them to do each step of a thing to get them to do anything. (When I say gather up the carts I don't mean gather them up and leave them in the cart corral outside.) There is a proverb that says something to the effect of “Laziness tends to cause more work” and good lord these people just kept dissolving into making things hard on themselves because they didn't want to do it properly the first time.

I did have to tell an older lady to mind her own business. Ironic, considering this hobby on here. But a lady asked me if I had turned on my air conditioner yet. I'm sure that I've had this conversation with her about two times a week for the last month or two. And yeah, the air conditioner is turned on. She asked me if I lived in the upstairs or downstairs apartment. I told her that I had moved back in with my Mom as I had drama with my old roommate so I'm living in a house. She asked me if I was still living in the old neighborhood. No I'm living in my Mom's house. She asked me how long I was going to live at home. As long as I need to I'm sure (Hopefully not much more than a year or so). She asked me what I did at Mom's house. I do what I can. The conversation was getting kind of awkward as her order was done she was just standing there interrogating me about life while a line was forming because she was just standing there asking about my life.

Today was a Sunday so we weren't allowed to sell beer, but there were quite a few people who did try to buy some. As I was putting a case away as the carryouts were both outside the security guard walked by and teased about me drinking the case. I laughed at the tease, I told him that I am a year and a half sober and I do get "thirsty" from time to time. But not nearly "thirsty" enough for Miller Light (not sponsored)

I got off later than Mom and Step-Dad had dinner so Mom said that I was kind of on my own for dinner. I have meat in the fridge, but it's been a while since I last bought a steak for myself so I picked up a Rib Eye. As the grill warmed up I grabbed one of the grill brushes to clean of the grill plates. There were two brushes I was told not to use one of them on the grill when it was hot as it had plastic bristles so I grabbed the other one...it turns out that both of the brushes had plastic bristles and melted the hell out of the smaller brush. I felt bad for ruining the brush, Step-Dad waved it off, but I still feel bad for not paying attention. The steak looked smaller in the packaging. It wasn't as big as the roast sized steaks that Step-Dad cooked a couple of weeks ago, but it did kind of spread out as it cooked.

Praying for Grandma. As I cooked dinner Mom and Step-Dad ran out across the street. As they came back they said that Grandma fell down. She's mostly uninjured, I'll bet that her pride is hurt more than anything else, but still praying for her all of the same she's been having issues with her knees. And randomly falling down really can't be a good sign.
