Some gunk in the back of my throat making my throat sore. Along with some sinus congestion. Ran out of bacon a couple of days ago so yesterday and today I had a pork steak for breakfast. I was going to have eggs to go with, but those steaks were pretty sizable so having a plate sized pork steak with four fried eggs seemed like a lot. I had just finished cooking the breakfast steak when Roommate came downstairs and announced that his doctors appointment this week is at 10am instead of the 11am it had been in the last couple of weeks and we needed to leave right then because it was just time to leave to get to his appointment. I put a lid on the skillet and since I have an electric stove the burner was still hot when I got back f...

Sober Month 8 (Day 247)
Keto Day 2

When I woke up this morning there was a really strange puddle of water in front of my fridge in the kitchen. It was really cold water, there wasn't a trail from the fridge or sink. The bathroom is above my kitchen, but the puddle wasn't under where the bathroom pluming is. The only thing that I can think of is that it is somehow connected to when I defrosted the freezer the other day. Perhaps there was some ice leftover and since the freezer isn't overfilled right now it was able to defrost itself. Everything in the fridge is cold and the freezer contents are all frozen so everything is working there, but I'll keep an eye on things.

I ran out of cream so I just had the coffee with salt.

I am really loving this weather that we're having this week. As the high was only going to get up to 69 (nice) degrees (20 C) I decided to set up the slow cooker with a batch of chili. Not sure why I set up the slow cooker with the instant pot recipe of chili it should work though.

Right after I set up the slow cooker with the chili I got out the bratwursts that the guy at the store yesterday was kind enough to pay for when my debit card wasn't working. I forced myself to put them back away because it was only 1:30 and that's way too early, for me, to have lunch. When I woke up this morning I checked the bank website and app and they're saying that the issue with the debit cards has been resolved. I don't plan on buying anything for the rest of the week. But it's good to know that it's available if necessary, not that I have much money to spend.

I found out this afternoon that the meal plan I made on Monday wasn't saved after I finished it as I had forgotten to save and the computer had frozen (ironically as I had just thawed out the freezer). I know that I have enough food to last the week, I just don't know how much of what kind. I'll do inventory again tomorrow.

I finally got around to editing the video I made comparing Store Bought Eggs with the Eggs I got from Mom. I mean I only recorded that video back on the 6th so might as well as get it done and uploaded. It is kind of funny that the next Tuesday that will be available (as I upload Recipe Videos on Tuesday) will be the first Tuesday of the month and the First Tuesday of the month I want to do a Carnivore recipe. Bacon and Eggs really does fit into that category quite well, even though it will be the second bacon and eggs video that I made for the second channel. But it was fascinating to see the difference between the two sets of eggs.
