Keto Day 5
Had a hard time falling asleep last night. Which I found to be fascinating. When I went to bed I was really tired. I even had to go back onto the blog to correct some things after I posted. But yesterday I really didn't have as many energy drinks that I normally would have. I normally would have had two cans Sugar Free Red Bull over the day. But this week the Powerade is on sale for $1.00 (not sponsored) so instead of the $3 a can of Red Bull I drank the $1 Powerade. But I was doing the rotisserie chicken last night when I went to bed. I went to bed at around midnight, but was struggling to stay awake since 10:30, but the sleep tracking on my phone says that I didn't fall asleep until 2:45
It's always a bit annoying when the daily weight is the exact same as the day before. At least the overall average is still going down.
Feet and ankles were really stiff and sore this morning. I'm thinking that it might be because my shoe laces weren't as tight as they should have been yesterday. I'm kind of running out of pants. I only have two pairs left that don't have holes in the crotch and one pair is really starting to smell and the pants that I've been wearing the last couple of days have a strange fit and wont let me bend very well so I have a hard time reaching my shoes and tightening the laces over the day.
Shoulders, elbows, and knees are crackling and snapping a lot after breakfast. And over the day my neck and fingers were snapping and cracking a lot as well.
Ran Self Checkout for 4 hours. Had a Powerade in the first half, didn't take a break because there didn't seem to be any breaks in the action. The Supervisor while I was running Self Checkout is the lady who usually is the one that is running self checkout. The vast majority of the people went through just fine, and I reminded myself of that. There was one older lady throwing a tantrum over digital coupons, even after I presented a solution she was still demanding to know, “what the point of them” was. I didn't answer her, as I don't think that I could answer her in a professional manor. I really wanted to tell her that they were trying to get people to sign up for the companies group, but old people just didn't want to learn how to read and follow instructions so they came out with a paper print out to use for people who are too stupid to follow basic instructions. I didn't tell her that, but I was honest when I told her that I wish that they'd just get rid of the damned things, all that they seem to do is upset and confuse people. And who knows, that might be the actual purpose of the digital coupons. But after she left I was a bit irritated for a little bit, and the thing is her arguing about coupons reminded me of a lady several months ago who had a coupon for single frozen burritos, but she had bought a multipack of frozen burritos so the coupon wasn't valid and she yelled out about how 'RETARED' I was because I wouldn't take the coupon for single burritos because she had bought the pack of burritos. Yeah, calling me that isn't a good way to get me to do what you want me to do. I calmed myself with the thought that it wouldn't be fair to snap at people I had to deal with today because somebody earlier today reminded me of somebody who made me angry six months ago.
Second half of the day went by really quite smoothly. It was quite busy as I had came back from lunch in the middle of the After School Rush on a Friday. So a lot of people were taking advantage of the 4x Fuel Points (not sponsored, but I just remembered that I forgot to clip mine for this week) I was really hyper energized after lunch. And that was good because I was stuck on a register for most of the second half of the day so I could put that energy to use. The Backup Customer Service Manager was the one closing the desk tonight and she kept insisting that I do the "Observations" That's these surveys that we have to do to make sure that people are doing their jobs. I'm not opposed to doing these surveys, it's just that they don't give me the crew to do my job. I can't really be watching the person at Self Checkout if I'm stuck on a register and my line is stretching back to Texas. I only had a moment to have another Powerade, but not enough time to take a full break. I think I'm going to like switching from Red Bull to Powerade. The sports drink is cheaper (not sponsored), and a lot easier to chug real quick.
I did ask her about the schedule for the week after next as that one had yet to be posted. And she had scheduled me for the 40 hours plus the 8 hours of Holiday pay. But the Customer Service Manager ( for some reason I cannot spell "Servace") shot it down because they are really being uptight about overtime. Oh well, extra day off that week. Again I hadn't officially budgeted for it, but I was kind of hoping for it.
