Sure it is lower than the beginning of the month, and WAY lower than the beginning of the year. But come on, I want to go back to being under 300 lbs (136.1 kg). I did manage to post last night close to the 11pm goal that I want to do, but then I played with spreadsheets for a while after that. I was scolding myself that I posted early because I want to start reading in the evening, not give myself more time working with spreadsheets. But when I did finally get to the book I came to the realization that I probably shouldn't have tried restarting my reading hobby with a Victorian English novel. It was a quart to midnight and I'm trying to wrap my h...

Keto Month 5 (Day 162) (207/365 Days 2026 Keto)

I didn't get the post done yesterday. I was in a really heavy, “What am I doing with my life” mood. It was hard to put that into a post without making it so somebody who read it pretty concerned about me. The post as I wrote it kept coming out heavier than what I was feeling. It wasn't a very productive thought, but it was a hard one to shake. Was in a lot better mood today though.

Very encouraging number on the scale this morning. Happiness isn't a number on the scale, but it would be fun to beat three "Short Goals" in one year.

Still was a bit slow waking up this morning. I did get up early enough to cook breakfast and bake the bratwursts for lunch.

Before work this morning I told Mom about my schedule this week. It is strangely exciting that I received the natural 40 hours that I was supposed to be getting as a full time employee. And next week I have a week of Vacation. This will be the second to last vacation for the year. The last week of vacation will be in October. She mentioned that Grandma was wanting to take a road trip in October. I don't remember the date that they were wanting to leave, but Grandma was wanting to visit a preacher that she knew.

I was thinking of signing up for a Secured Credit Card pretty soon. I was thinking of doing the “Pre-approval” application tomorrow night (Monday night) after work and Tuesday if I'm “pre-approved” I'd do the full application, the thing is though the card that I've been looking at for the last week or so had paused doing applications back in June. They're doing a restructuring and “will start again soon.” So I'm going to go with another company. I'm sure there's nothing to say that I have to do this RIGHT NOW! But it would be nice to start working towards something instead of just siting here in Mom's guest bedroom.

Work today was pretty off and on. There would be times of run, run, run, go, go, go! But then it'd clear and there was a lot of time just standing around. There was a lady who yelled at me because she didn't know how her food stamp card was already empty as, “She only got paid last week!” I'm sorry, that's unfortunate. She asked me when she was going to get more Food Stamps. I was under the impression that it was a monthly payment. She demanded to know how she was going to survive the month if she had already used up all of her Food Stamps. She didn't like my suggestion of talking to the local food bank. I'm sorry, that FREE MONEY was supposed to last you an entire month, don't yell at me because you don't appreciate what you get for free. Perhaps if they were only allowed to buy ACTUAL food the money would last longer. There is an unfortunate stereotype that people who use SNAP are less intelligent than other people, but good lord they like to reinforce that stereotype.

At lunch I was craving cheese so I picked up a jar of queso and a bag of pork rinds as an excuse to eat the queso. I shouldn't have done that my stomach ached for a while after lunch as I could fee the pork rinds expand in my belly. I need to stop buying food to go with lunch. I am already bringing food in, I don't need to buy more food. The bratwursts would have been satisfying in themselves.

Second half of the day was, thankfully, really slow. Unfortunately it was REALLY SLOW. The Supervisor paradox. It was boring, but it was boring because nothing was going wrong.

Had a pork steak for dinner. It was impressive how quickly it baked from frozen.
