I haven't kept track of my waistline as well as I have of my weight so I'm not sure when the last time it was this low. But I'm sure that it has been a while.

I cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast and ran the Air fryer to cook the chicken for lunch. I noticed that Mom was trying to get the kitchen cleaned up so I took the effort to clean up after the air fryer and put it away. A habit that I need to work on.

On the way to work I had an errant thought. All of the reading online seemed to say that the cause of a low credit score is the result of irresponsible spending. But I have very little to no debt spending. Sure I had a car loan about 10 years ago, but that's the only thing I've ever had. I was kind of nervous that there might be some "activity" that I wasn't aware of. This evening I asked ChatGPT about it and it said that a lack of spending could make for a low score, but it encouraged me to checkout the online credit report and I was relieved to see that the only thing on there was the car loan from 10 years ago, that I paid off 8 years ago. So I'm kind of processing that was "a whole" 8 years ago, "and only" 8 years ago.

Wow, people were pissy today. Yeah it was busy, it was the first Friday of the month, the week before most schools start. It's going to be busy. I ran the self checkout for the first hour that I got there and yeah it was busy. The self checkout was swarmed and there was only one regular register open. And there was nobody else that could check. There was only one person in Customer Service and the two carryouts didn't know how to check. It is kind of funny that if there would have been two registers open people could have stood in just as long line and wouldn't have complained, but since there was only one register open they were absolutely INCENSED that there was only one register open. People yelled at me to open another register, but I was running self checkout. I can't be in more than one place at a time. A guy insisted that I shut down the self checkout lanes to open another register. He didn't understand that closing the self checkout lanes would be closing six registers to open up one register. He insisted that there would have been six more cashiers, but we don't have more cashiers. They don't give us hours to have cashiers. One of the very few times when somebody complained about how much they hate self checkout, when there was an actual line at the regular register.

Another lady started screaming at me and I threatened to cancel her order and refuse service to her. She said that she had two cards that she wanted to use to pay for her order. Not a problem I just have to type in the amount that she wanted to use on the first card, and then she'll just have to run her second card. Not a problem. So she runs her insurance benefit card...then gets out her Food Stamp card. I told her that she had to use the food stamp card BEFORE any other form of payment, and now that she ran her insurance card at the self checkout lane I had to transfer her order to the cashier station to cancel the payment and have her run the food stamp card first. I wasn't arguing with her, I wasn't berating or “yelling” or “being hateful” I was just saying that the Food Stamp card had to go before any other form of payment. The lady she was with started to jump in my face and yell about how I was being hateful and mean to her. I was talking loudly because all of South Central Kansas seemed to be running through the store at the moment, but I wasn't “being mean” I told her that if she doesn't let me cancel the payment and run the cards in the correct order I will cancel the order all together. I told myself for the rest of the day that I should have just voided the order. Perhaps if Retail People started sticking up for ourselves people will start acting properly again.

I was only supposed to be on Self Checkout for an hour while the cashier went to lunch. But she came back and said that she was going home sick so I had to run it for another hour until a lady could come in and cover. I REALLY hate self checkout.

I was supervisor for the rest of the day I was tired of babysitting all day long so I had some hot dogs for dinner. When I got home I threw the chicken bones left over from lunch to the chickens. It's kind of strange to feed chicken to chickens, but they seem to like it.
