That weight sucks. Sure it is lower than the beginning of the month, and WAY lower than the beginning of the year. But come on, I want to go back to being under 300 lbs (136.1 kg).
I did manage to post last night close to the 11pm goal that I want to do, but then I played with spreadsheets for a while after that. I was scolding myself that I posted early because I want to start reading in the evening, not give myself more time working with spreadsheets. But when I did finally get to the book I came to the realization that I probably shouldn't have tried restarting my reading hobby with a Victorian English novel. It was a quart to midnight and I'm trying to wrap my head around nearly 200 year old very flowery language. This is going to take some practice.
I was used to working 11-8 as I have been working that schedule for a while so I thought I worked 11 to 8 today. I was most of the way to work when I realized that I worked 10 to 7 on Sunday this week...today was Sunday. I stepped on the gas but I didn't get to work until 10:53. I was kind of curious as to why nobody had called me to tell me that I hadn't shown up yet. Not that it was their responsibility to tell me that I need to go to work. Not that it would have done much good. It wouldn't have done much good. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to work. So if it took them 20 minutes to realize that I wasn't there yet it would have taken me another 20 minutes to get there and I'd have been 40 minutes late instead of 53 minutes late. However when I got to work nobody had realized that I was supposed to be there anyway. I was supposed to be in the service desk for an hour then supervisor for an hour than back to the service desk for another couple of hours before lunch. Whoever wrote out the daily schedule missed the first hour that I was in the desk and I wasn't covering anybody's lunch or anything so I was easy to miss. Still annoyed as hell that I'm going to miss that hour of pay. There's a point system that if you're late too often you can get written up, suspended, then fired. I don't have to worry much about being fired. I am not that late very often.
Another day where it was run or stop busy. The frustration was when it was busy people was screeching at me that it was busy. “You need to hire more people it's busy!!” Do people think I am in charge of hiring people or deciding how many people are scheduled per day?
Had the second half of the pork loin with some cottage cheese.
What was really entertaining was while I was at lunch I heard over the Walkie-talkie I heard a manager say that she'll check the cameras. I assumed that they had caught somebody stealing. I didn't think much about it as I was on lunch, there's not much for me to do about anything. A few minutes later I was done eating so I took my lunchbox out to my car. On the way out to the car a guy started yelling at me. He was yelling at me that if they want to ban him from the store they have to call the police to have them issue a “Trespass Warrant” I don't know if that's accurate, private businesses have the right to refuse service for any reason. I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about. He shouted that the manager was a "bully" and was yelling at him, "just because he was taking a few things" yeah, if you're throwing a temper tantrum because you got stealing I'm not going to feel very sympathetic towards you. I kind of chuckled about the guy getting upset that the manager was rude to a thief. I wanted to ask the manager what happened, but I never caught up with her. What was crazy was that after she had left and just as I was about to leave the store got a phone call. The guy in the service desk was helping somebody else so I answered the phone and it was the guy who the manager was "rude" to and he insisted that she had assaulted him. He said that it was true that we had the right to refuse service but yelling at him constituted "assault" and she had no right to assault him and he's going to call the police and file a police report about how she had "assaulted" him. I'm still kind of chuckling about how somebody got caught stealing so they're going to call the police. I really wish that this was the first time I've heard that. I'm supposed to be off tomorrow, but I kind of want to go in tomorrow to see if she's there to ask her what happened. Maybe give her a hard time about going around "assaulting" customers.
While at work I saw some burnt orange roses that I thought I would buy for Mom. I also grabbed a steak for dinner. I think that'll be the last steak I buy for a while. The credit card isn't a steak dinner fund. And I think if I spent the entire credit line just on food and drink Mom will probably be quite upset with me. The spending limit isn't a spending goal.
