I spent the free time today working with Chat GPT to come up with a budget analysis and planning. I'm afraid that I've used all of the creativity on the AI prompts. (? I'm not sure I want to call it “creativity” as that would imply that I'm making up the stuff I'm writing on here. It's not that I'm making stuff up, I'm just kind of done writing more) I actually came to the limit of what the free version of the AI will analyze. Or at least for the day. I did like the graph that it did eventually come up with. But as it is a projection that goes until the end of 2029 it is a bit condensed and hard to see. In the morning when the timer refreshes I'll ask it to make a version of that graph that will go until the end of 2026 and I'll see if that's easier to comprehend
I was able to do the bacon, eggs, and coffee before work.
Today was another strange day of a 5:2.5 hour split in the day. It's nice to have a longer first half. But going in to be a cashier for two and a half hours feels kind of pointless. It was quite busy today.
I saw a guy dancing around the Self Checkout area as he had thought that the Food Stamps were “turned back on” he was quite disappointed when he tried to buy a small bottle of soda and only had 25 cents on his SNAP card. I hadn't heard of anything about the Government Shutdown being concluded, but even when it does I highly doubt that the Food Stamps would be loaded the same day that they decided to do their jobs. I did have a lady pray before she ran her debit card asking God to grant her enough money to pay for her food. It was kind of awkward to stand there as her debit card was rejected. She was able to (I'm assuming) transfer money from a savings account and run her card again. She did give me a pretty dark glare as she paid her her groceries. She can glare at me if she wants, but there's nothing I can do.
Had the Instant Pot Chili for lunch. I had forgotten to drain the ground beef while cooking it so there was quite a bit of grease in the broth, it's a good thing that fat is good for you. I was going to get some sour cream, cheese, and corn chips for the chili. But I just didn't have the funds for it today.
There was a lady who insisted that she found a plant in the area where the markdown items are. She insisted that she had other people scan the tag on it because it didn't have a markdown tag on it and she insisted that the other people scanned it and the $24.99 tag is supposed to be a ten cent tag. She said that if she can't get the $25 plant for ten cents she's not going to buy it. And then she got angry because I voided it off of her order. I don't haggle. Especially for a discount that steep.
Did Hamburger Helper for dinner. (Not sponsored) Again, not the most Keto Friendly meal. But the excuse that I'm putting forward is that I'm using up the not Ketogenic meals together and then for the rest of the week I'll have more Keto Friendly meals.
