Scale is still dead. So I don't know how much I weigh.
I am off Thanksgiving so I bought some Hot Cocoa last night and woke up early this morning to try to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (not sponsored) but apparently you have to have an antenna to watch the broadcast on TV or have one of the various streaming subscriptions. I did find a couple of live streams of it playing, but it was just being filmed from somebody standing on the side of the street with a camera as the floats and balloons went by. It just didn't feel right. I did like the hot chocolate this morning. I microwaved some milk to make it this morning, but I think I'll put some in my coffee tomorrow morning. Apparently that's called caffè mocha.
I did have breakfast while watching the bit of the parade. It was several hours before going to Grandma's so I figured it was fine. It was awkward sitting around waiting to go over there. I didn't want to show up, “Okay I'm here, where's my food” but I did decide to show up a little early to try to help set up. But when I got there everything was pretty much ready to go.
Grandma had baked a ham and made chicken and noodles. Mom made some home made rolls. My younger sister and her family brought some mashed potatoes and a couple varieties of sweet potatoes. I felt kind of awkward that I didn't bring anything or did anything to help as Grandma kept insisting that Sister was, "bringing half of the dinner" None of the family gatherings I don't bring anything other than an appetite.
My brother and his family wasn't able to come. Brother had a bit of an issue with his house and the ceiling in his kitchen had collapsed (just as he was finishing fixing the porch) so they've been living on frozen dinners and take out for a while. And the first family meal that they've been able to cook will be Thanksgiving Dinner. Which I think is awesome.
I have an older sister who lives in Ohio, so she wasn't able to come either. I am thankful for such a blessed family. If Older Sister and Brother and his family were to be able to come we would be all in the same place and the only thing that was in danger of being sliced was the ham.
I was quite stuffed coming home from Grandma's house I did grill some hamburger patties later in the evening because I couldn't shake the idea that I hadn't had dinner yet.
Spent all day just sitting here. Digesting. I did kind of chuckle because on Tuesday I made a batch of Pizza Pasta for the weekly lunch plan. But on Wednesday I had a short lunch so I couldn't come home for lunch, and Thursday is Thanksgiving so I didn't have it for lunch today either, and on Saturday I'll be at Mom's for another Thanksgiving gathering. Kind of wondering if I'll be able to eat any of the Pizza Pasta this week. But then I realized that Mom's gathering is next week.
This is an early post, but I'm tired. Not sure if it's the carbo load from Grandma's house or the sun going down. But ever since sunset I've been struggling to stay awake.
