Talked to Uncle about 3D printing he had gotten the idea of printing off personalized ammo boxes and gun cases for people. I do feel like that is an interesting idea and more than likely a market for such items. The trick is that he was wanting estimates on how long it would take to print items of certain sizes and shapes. I have no idea, but I'm guessing that it would take about an hour or so to print off the things that he would want to print. Had time thi...

Sober Month 11 (Day 331)

Trying to remember what I had written before as the program had crashed erasing what I had written before.

I had spent the last couple of days with the Absolute Idiot trying to get it to do the projection correctly. It would look like it was doing the thing correctly and then I would notice that it didn't have the bills in the projection. And including the bills into the projection just broke everything. The main frustration was that I am using the free version of the site so I would have to do as much as it would let me do and then I would have to wait for the timer to reset, which would take several hours. It was starting to get kind of annoying as I would ask it to do something, it would ask for guidance on how it would like it to do the thing I would ask. That thing wouldn't work properly, so I ask it to do it the other way. So it would be like, “Okay, I'll do this thing that doesn't work and the way that you asked me to fix it at the same time” breaking it even further. So the other day I started over again with a fresh “conversation”. The refresh seems to have worked better. The new projection does have the bills included, but the User Interface in the projection doesn't have any buttons to do any inputs into the projection. I'm currently waiting for the timer to reset to ask it for buttons on the widgets so I can do anything with the projection.

The last several days at work have been quite busy. It makes sense to be quite active the week before Thanksgiving, but it feels like there's more involved. People running around screaming their heads off and when I say, “Have a Happy Thanksgiving,” they seem to stop, and realize that oh yeah, that is next week.

Too busy over the last couple of days to write any notes. And I really am trying to keep this from the “Mark whines about work blog” The last couple of days they've really been focus on getting everybody to clean up the store as this Sunday some big wigs are going to come through the store for a pre-holiday inspection to make sure that the store is up to snuff for the holiday season. The frustration is that getting these kids to do the job that they're already supposed to be doing is like pulling teeth and now I need to get them to do extra cleaning.

Used up the last of the bacon this morning. The last couple of days I had noticed that I was getting low and there is a BOGO sale going on with the name brand bacon (not sponsored) but I've gotten in such a habit of not buying anything at work I kept forgetting to buy more. I ended up writing a “B” on my hand to remind myself to buy more bacon at lunch.

11 months sober. I was talking to a lady at work it is kind of funny that the reason that I had finally quit drinking wasn't the mental effects, wasn't the physical effects, or any interactions with anybody else. It was just the vast amount of money that I was just drinking away.

I am glad that the Mexican Alfredo has lasted this long in the fridge. I wasn't sure how the pasta recipe would work in the fridge. I'm thinking that next week I'll make Pizza Pasta. But that will be several days from now.
