Sober Month 10 (Day 328)

It was exciting to weigh in this morning as this is the lowest weight in the last two years. Heck, it's the lowest weight of the 2020's decade if I'm looking at my numbers right. And this time over 2024 and 2023 I was gaining considerably amounts of weight. Kind of blows my theory that the reason that I was gaining weight this time of year my body was getting ready for winter. I know that humans don't hibernate, but I would have assumed that we do have some of feature that would add some insulation in the winter. But no I was just eating and drinking too much in the previous years. (definitely drinking too much)

It was exciting to do the grocery shopping as the total came to $92 when I usually budget for $150. It's just in previous weeks I spent so much on dinners I was able to have a grocery run that was mostly for lunch and soda for the week. It is kind of ridiculous that almost half of the grocery run this week was on Seltzer, Sugar Free Monster, and Freezer Vacuum Seal bags. But next week I won't need the monster or the vacuum seal bags as I only need to buy that box of energy drinks every other week and the freezer bags come in boxes of 50 so that should last for a while. And next week I will still have enough in the freezer to just need to buy lunch for the following week. Who knows, maybe that will be two weeks in a row where the grocery bill will be under $100. I don't remember if I mentioned it when I did the shopping that week, but previously when I got excited that my grocery run was under budget the cashier asked me why I didn't just keep shopping if I had more money to spend. I told her that's just extra money to put into savings. She said that she always just spends all of the money she makes whenever she gets it in. Yeah, I kind of did that too, that's why I'm trying to save. I'm tired of praying that my next paycheck comes in before the next bill is due.

Spent most of the day continuing to refine the Absolute Idiot's financial projection. Somehow it had deleted all of the bills from the projections so it was having me make some serious money over the next five years. I don't know what was so hard about having a $50 a week allowance and have the bills paid on the first of each month and if there wasn't enough money on the first of the month push back the unpaid bill until the next payday that it could be paid. But after two or three weeks of constantly telling it what I want to do it seems to have started figuring it out. It is fun that it looks like the projection shows that I'll be adding to “Project Savings” by the end of February and then “General Savings” by the end of April. And that doesn't include Roommate's help with bills or this springs Tax Return (I know that it's the tax return for 2025, it's just I'll get it in 2026) I also keep seeing headlines about a possible “$2,000 tariff refund check” Yeah, let's just say that I'm not holding my breath on that

heh, I just realized that today was a carnivore day. But with the Mexican Chicken Alfredo that I made for the lunch plan, that's not going to be a trend. I just hope the Alfredo stays good for the week in the fridge. I've never tried this plan with a pasta recipe. They're sealed in the lunch boxes, so they should be fine...I think.
