Sober Month 11 (Day 338)

Trying to think of something to say, but nothing really happened today. It was the “Supervisor Curse” a boring day is a good day, because if nothing is happening nothing is going wrong.

The mocha mix of instant hot chocolate and salted coffee tasted a bit better this morning than it did yesterday. Yesterday I added a bit of milk, today I skipped it and it had a stronger flavor. So I think I'll pass on the milk in the future.

There was a bit of drama before I got to work. Apparently the Trans person was fired because sometime last week s/he blew up at one of the carryouts because he was sacking next to him/her beside the register. One of the people who was supposed to be a carryout this morning No-showed again. This was the fourth time in two months that she just didn't show up. And one of the carryout kids was informed that his transfer request had been accepted. So with the guy who was fired last week for voicing threats of violence to other coworkers we're now down four people. We were already running what felt like a skeleton crew.

Today was a 5:3 split and I was Supervisor the whole day. One of the few days when I call it, “actually doing my job” it's nice to have a long first half and a short second half. But I had forgotten that I had a long first half a bit into the first half and I was getting eager for lunch, however it was still two hours until lunch which was a letdown. It just messed with my timing. I did have a serving of Pizza Pasta for lunch, I am kind of glad that I have 3 servings left of that, it's some good stuff. But I think this next week I'm going to make Tater Tot Casserole, after that I'm going to try to get back to the Ketovore plan. It would be fun to get back to the diet in time for the new year. 

For being the last of the month with a snowstorm expected tonight today was really quite quiet. Strangely I'm scheduled to be a carryout the entire day tomorrow. But with all of the people who we've lost we'll see what I'm actually doing. It's the first snow of the season so it would be kind of fun to play out in the snow.

Another early post, but there wasn't much to talk about today.

And it wouldn't be a great idea to drive it back and forth too much. He did say that it would be fine to leave it at the shop until they get the chance to work on it. Some of their people are out of town on training so they wont be able to fix it today, but they'll really try to get it done tomorrow. Not in the greedy sort of way, but in the something bit me kind of way. There's a bright red spot on the base of my thumb and on the top of my right pointer finger whenever I wash my hands. Over the day the level of itch was low enough that it wasn't really that distracting. But if I was standing around not doing anything I would catch myself picking at my finger. Kind of surprised to see the weight progress over the last couple of days. Almost seems to be back on track. There's been a bit of a weight loss plateau over the last couple of months.
