Really excited that the credit card finally came in. Not in the manner of “Whoohoo shopping spree!” but more in the manner of I've spent the last month or so planning and waiting for this puzzle piece to come in. I didn't get the posts done in the last couple of days as the other night I was watching the lunar eclipse and last night when I got home the credit card was here and I did another rebalance of the budget plan. The last rebalance was because there is a $5 bonus for signing up for autopay on the phone bill, but when I tried to put the credit card on the autopay it said that the card w...

Sober Month 10 (Day 314)

I actually woke up early today. The sleep app says that I didn't get enough sleep. And I did have a hard time falling asleep last night.

I didn't have breakfast as I was waiting for Roommate to wake up and go to his appointment like he usually does on Tuesdays but by 10:30 I got tired of waiting for him to wake up so I thought I would go ahead and cook breakfast, but I was out of eggs. I remembered that I was going to buy eggs when he was at his appointment like I usually do as I do the grocery shopping while he's at the doctor. It is true that Mom gives me some of her eggs, but I don't want to snag all that she has. She only has 4 chickens and I eat four eggs a day. He did get up right as I was finishing making the pot of coffee as his appointment was actually at 11:15. I kind of remember he said last week that he had scheduled his appointments later in the morning so he didn't have to wake up so “early” By the time I was done shopping and he was done with his appointment it was almost 1 in the afternoon so it felt silly to have a bacon and eggs breakfast.

He said that next week's appointment will be later in the afternoon, we'll see if I remember it next week. But he did say that there was more signs of progress in this appointment.

I quit the YMCA some months ago. And I have some 10 lb (4.5 kg) hand weights that I've been waving around. I've been doing that more in the last couple of days. I'm not sure if that's really doing anything other than making my arms tired, but it has to be better than nothing.

Spent a lot of time finishing the comparison spreadsheet comparing the monthly spending this year from last year. But that might have been a waste of time as it is kind of spread out and hard to see all together

It was exciting to see the total of the grocery run. I was budgeting for $200, and as I was adding it up as I was shopping the total on my calculator came up to $205 and before I hit total on the register the total was closer to $240. But then when I pushed total the Digital Coupons and Employee Discount came off and this week they're doing “Employee Appreciation” so instead of getting 10% off of the store brands they're having 20% off. I was a bit nervous for a moment because the register kind of froze for a moment, and then it scrolled down to $165! Sure that's $15 more than I would normally budget for the weekly grocery run, but it's $35 less than I was budgeting for this weeks run. I did forget the hamburger patties and the meat person was out to lunch while I was shopping so I couldn't have them cut a pork butt into steaks. But I did still had enough of those to make the meals for the week. But I will have to pick up more pork steaks and burgers next week.

I made a meal plan for the week yesterday as I thawed out the freezer, but as I added food to the freezer after doing the shopping I redid the inventory and meal plan. And doing that and cleaning up the kitchen took long enough to bake the chicken for the lunch today and prepare the Instant Pot Chili for the lunch for the rest of the week.

Yeah, not the most Ketogenic dinner this evening, but it was hard to pass up on the BOGO Pizza (Not Sponsored)

Another bit of an early post, but I am tired again. I guess I haven't gotten used to the time change. Who knows since I didn't drink any Tea today I might be able to fall asleep quicker than I did last night.
