I was able to wake up early enough to have the pork steak and eggs. I do say that Beef and Eggs>Pork and Eggs. But it is always nice to cook eggs in butter. Not sure why eggs and butter work so well, but I'm not complaining.

Today was a really busy but smooth day. There was another “Store Walk” when the big wigs come through the store making sure that we're doing everything right. They were kind of obvious when they came through so I really made sure that I kept acknowledging the lady at the front of the store as in a previous store walk I was called out on because I wasn't standing in front of the registers where the supervisor is “supposed” to stand. It was strange that the director called out the light on register 7 as it wasn't the exact same color of light as the other register. The other registers had a really light white color, and the light on register 7 had a slight yellowish tinge to it. And that was unacceptable to the lady from the office as they all HAD to be the same color. Which I'm sure the only person who cared was the lady from the office. They also had us scrape off some stickers that they had previously made us stick to the registers. There were “Have You Seen BOB” Stickers. “BOB” stands for Bottom of Bascart, it is supposed to remind cashiers to check the bottom of carts for un-scanned merchandise. But I guess they don't want those stickers on anything now. Which is fine by me. For a while now the parent company of our store has had these weird almost claymation style cartoon characters in all of their promotion material. I wouldn't be all that upset if they had decided to phase those out. (The characters are a bit condescending and creepy.)

I ordered a new WIFI adapter for my computer. The last couple of weeks the computer kept disconnecting from the internet. I didn't think that there was anything wrong with the network as if the internet or router was blinking off that much Roommate would have been considerably louder. The new adapter came in surprisingly quickly I had ordered it on Thursday and it said that the delivery was expected to be Tuesday. But I'm not going to complain about getting it early.

I was in a really good mood all day today. The weather was really beautiful today. 

My sister came by the store to pick up my tax documents. I forgot to tease her about President Trump saying that the tax returns are going to be "the biggest ever" with the "extra $2,000 per household" and not to forget the $2,000 Tariff Refund, and the $5,000 Doge Check. (She's not a fan of President Trump <much to Mom's chagrin >)

The day went surprisingly smoothly considering that it was the day before the Super Bowl. It was really busy as well...it's the day before the Super Bowl. There was an extra Carryout as a guy who called last night to tell the manager he'd be sick today actually showed up. There was another kid that was skeptical when I told him that we're not getting holiday pay for Super Bowl Sunday. He thought it was supposed to be a holiday because, “everybody is hanging out with their friends and family and stuff” Yeah no, sorry. He said that I'd “just see how it would come out.” It would be kind of cool if it were a holiday as if it were it would be like the second or third biggest eating holiday in the American Tradition and it would be nice to get some of that extra work paid for. But nope according to the pay, it's just another Sunday. 

I got off at 7pm tonight which is slightly earlier than the normal time. I was going to try to play some Fallout New Vegas tonight after work but by the time I recovered from working and had dinner cooked I only had time to make the nightly post and I'm too mentally fried to try to play any role-playing game. 

I guess the Winter Olympics started last night America hasn't gotten any medals yet. And funnily enough it looks like Itilay is in the metal lead so far.  Home field advantage I guess
