Annoyed that the numbers are above the start of the year so all of the projections are showing up. At least the weight is still under the average for the year so far. The apartment complexes around here all have metal roofs (odd spelling on the word roofs, you'd think that it'd be “rooves”) so as it's starting to get above freezing outside and the snow starts melting on top of the roof the snow slides off in a kind of avalanche. So this morning I was sitting here listening to videos and then hear a “Slooumph” as snow and ice slides off of the building. It keeps sounding like something fell down, but...

Dream Log #1

I had a strange dream the other night, I don't usually have dreams (or very rarely remember them if I understand that everyone has dreams all of the time) so when I do I try to write them down. Not that I actually believe that dreams really mean anything. Well, I do kind of agree with the idea that dreams are a way for the mind to process something that the mind is trying to deal with. An that night my mind might have been dealing with my financial issues along with some vodka and mountain dew my roommate bought that night (which tastes like earwax BTW). Anyway in the dream I had shown up early for work so I could check my bank balance on the ATM. {dream logic, I would have used my banking phone app IRL} But as I checked my balance the ATM withdrew all of the money out of my account. It's not much, just a little under $200, but it's all that I have. But before I could react an asshole kid (I say kid, but the person was on the older end of his teens) snagged the ...

My thoughts on the loss of YouTube partnership

YouTube partnership changes

Well, I'm livid. And I apologize this is going to be scatter brained, I am writing this as my brain flounders through the situation. I'm going to do a video on it tomorrow after work, but for now I want to say SOMETHING SOMEWHERE. I've been on YouTube since the EARLY days of YouTube, like back before they were bought out by Google. And I've been a YouTube partner since 2008, but coming up in February I'll be losing my partnership status with YouTube. Because the new guidelines of the site say that you have to have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time in the last 12 months. I have 59 subscribers and just under 20,000 minuets watched for my ENTIRE channel history (or at least since Sep. 2012 when they started counting watch time). That's right around 330 hours, for about five years. And A LOT of that watch time was in my AMV's that I deleted when I decided to try to do YouTube as an actual way to make a living. And I didn't ...

suddenly glad my house didn't burn down

a couple of days ago I was baking chicken for lunch and after it got done cooking the oven made this nasty crunchy buzzing noise and the bottom heating element melted down.  Landlord looked at it last night and determined that it just needed a new heating element,  it seemed like it would have been an extremely easy fix.  If it would have worked.  but when he installed the new heating element this afternoon the indicator light came on and the oven started heating up like it was baking.  Except that it was turned to off.  That was a pretty good indication that there was something seriously wrong with the entire appliance.  Within a couple of hours he was back with a whole new oven.  To which I am supremely grateful.  On a lower level of thought I was afraid that he would present me with a bill after he was done installing the new stove, but he really isn't that kind of guy and he didn't mention anything when he was done. (which was great b...
