But whatever was going on with my sinuses seems to have started cleareding up early this afternoon. Which was a fascinating feeling. It felt like my head just kind of opened up. I still don't smell very good, but at least my head doesn't feel like it's splitting open. Had Thanksgiving round two at Mom's house this afternoon. But first I stopped by Grandma's house to swap out the burnt out bulbs on her Christmas lights. Last night she suggested that in the future she might invest in some light projectors so I wouldn't have to climb on top (strange that “ontop” isn't one word) of her house. suddenly glad my house didn't burn down

a couple of days ago I was baking chicken for lunch and after it got done cooking the oven made this nasty crunchy buzzing noise and the bottom heating element melted down.  Landlord looked at it last night and determined that it just needed a new heating element,  it seemed like it would have been an extremely easy fix.

 If it would have worked. 

but when he installed the new heating element this afternoon the indicator light came on and the oven started heating up like it was baking.  Except that it was turned to off.  That was a pretty good indication that there was something seriously wrong with the entire appliance.  Within a couple of hours he was back with a whole new oven.  To which I am supremely grateful.  On a lower level of thought I was afraid that he would present me with a bill after he was done installing the new stove, but he really isn't that kind of guy and he didn't mention anything when he was done. (which was great because money is tight enough as it is).  It wasn't until after he left that I got the idea that holy crap the oven was just sending electricity through the machine without it being turned on and all of the horrible things that could have happened with that situation.  But hey, at least I have a new thing to play with.

but hey, now that thing is taken care of I can go back to not focusing on getting my videos done.

And it wouldn't be a great idea to drive it back and forth too much. He did say that it would be fine to leave it at the shop until they get the chance to work on it. Some of their people are out of town on training so they wont be able to fix it today, but they'll really try to get it done tomorrow. They didn't want to give a time estimate without looking closer at the car. But they didn't seem to be worried and it didn't seem to be something that they haven't seen before. The computer ...

Not in the greedy sort of way, but in the something bit me kind of way. There's a bright red spot on the base of my thumb and on the top of my right pointer finger whenever I wash my hands. Over the day the level of itch was low enough that it wasn't really that distracting. But if I was standing around not doing anything I would catch myself picking at my finger. Kind of surprised to see the weight progress over the last couple of days. Almost seems to be back on track. There's been a bit of a weight loss plateau over the last couple of months.
