I have cottage cheese and hot dogs one day for lunch, the next day the weight is up. I have a recipe that I have saved for lunch the weight is down. I have Jalapeno cheesy sausages for lunch, the next day the weight is up. It's still among the lowest weigh ins for the year. And I'm still down 10 lbs for the year. I think starting tomorrow I'll start doing the tracking in my phone app again. Maybe start going back to the YMCA on Monday. I wont go tomorrow because with their Sunday hours they are only open while I'm at work. I'm thinking of trying to get into a habit of going into the weight room Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Maybe going to swim on Tuesday...

Sober Month 1 (Day 54)

Struggling with writers block on this one. I'm sitting here at my computer just kind of drifting off.

It will always be Christmas in our hearts, but it's February on the calendar and my Grandma was wanting me to take down her Nativity Scene. I normally would have taken it down a lot earlier, but every time I had a day off we've been having snow storms. There were some days that it was really nice outside, but then I had to work. She told me that I didn't have to bother with taking down her lights today and I could come out and take those down some other day. But I don't like leaving things half done. And honestly taking down her lights are the easiest part.

After taking Grandma's decorations down I talked with Mom for a bit as she lives across the street from Grandma. I teased her that she's ready for Spring. But Mon's been ready for spring since November. She's been talking about getting a chicken coop set up so she can get homemade eggs. She also has worms for compost. If I remember correctly she tried to have a small veggie garden last year. I forgot to ask if she's still planning on working on that this year or just stick with the chickens and worms.

I decided to run by the store and get the Flu Vaccine. It is free with insurance, it is also free with the employee discount. I didn't think of the joke until later in the day, but I thought of making the joke if there's a discount that removes the price, and the insurance pays for it, does that mean I'd get paid for getting the jab? I knew it wouldn't work that way, but it would have been fun to see their face if I were to make that joke. I don't usually get the Flu Shot, but something is telling me that it might be a good idea this year.

For lunch I made some Taco Meat Mix. It was a pound of ground beef, homemade taco seasoning, 4zo cream cheese, and a couple handfuls of shredded cheddar. I'm thinking that I should have grabbed some shredded lettuce to go in it or something it felt like it was missing something.

I wasn't planning on watching the Super Bowl, but Roommate downloaded an app on his X-box to stream it. He talked about cooking some Chinese style Chicken and Rice, but because he wanted to watch the game he decided to order a pizza. And yeah, I was naughty with the pizza, but at least I stayed sober. I'm going to reset the count on the Keto Days, but I'm not going to beat myself up too much, it was just one night of eating pizza.

I don't watch sports very often, but I got to say I really wasn't impressed with the Super Bowl this year. I grew up as a Chiefs fan, but even if I were an Eagles fan I don't know that I would have liked it that much. It was just such a lopsided game. I had always thought that The Chiefs were a strong offensive team, but this evening they just couldn't do anything. I'm not sure if it was just the Eagles defense or if the Chiefs just had an off night, or maybe got too confident. Everybody was talking about how it was going to be the first Three-peat in NFL history. And I got to say I wasn't really impressed with any of the commercials, they all seemed too “forced” and a lot of them just looked like AIBS

I'm not sure if it was the vaccine, the pizza, or just the game ending. But I was dead tired this evening. Probably why I'm posting this relatively early. I do plan on staying well hydrated if it is the flu shot generating an immune response. But for now, I'm going to bed.
