I actually moved my scale around to make sure that there wasn't anything underneath it. The watch scan says that there was a pretty big drop in muscle, but there was also a big drop in water weight. Which makes since because of the last couple of days. But the scan says that fat is up a little On the way home from the hospital with Roommate I happened to drive by where the new YMCA is going to be and wow that is going to be huge. Roommate was surprised that I cared because he thought that I had quit going. And it wasn't that I had given up on the idea of going to the Y it's just that I was waiting for him to go back to work. He asked me why h...

Keto Week 1 (Day 9)
Sober Month 2 (Day 70)

Had a pretty good drop in the weight this morning. It is always nice when you wake up and have to poop. Always satisfying to poop before weighing in. It is a bit odd because I usually have to poo AFTER I weigh in. Of course after I have breakfast and a pot of coffee. So reweighing in would be pointless.

And now that the post has started off on that brown note, I have to say that the waist is kind of down as well. It's closer to 56.75 inches (144.1 cm), but I round to the closest half inch (1.27 cm).

I didn't have time for breakfast this morning. Roommate had to go to his daily clinic. I was going to do grocery shopping while he was going to his appointment. I was going to go to the 30th street store, but they were almost out of the bratwursts that were BOGO this week so I decided to drive down to the 5th street store to do the shopping there. But by the time I got to the other store Roommate called me just as I parked.

He seems to have had a better reaction to the clinic today than yesterday. He had a panic attack yesterday. He had to go to the DMV to get his CDL transitioned into a different level so it wouldn't be canceled until he gets his medical card updated. I'm not sure of the details, but I'm sure the government will keep things as complicated as possible.

While he was at the DMV I went ahead and did my grocery shopping. And as I did get my Tax Return in today I did spend a bit too much. I started talking about all of the stuff that I spent money on today, but I was going into too many details about stuff I probably shouldn't talk about. I spent a lot on groceries, a lot on a new 3D printer that if I'm being honest I could have still saved up for. But the biggest category of spending today was the utilities. I got to say that it is an AMAZING feeling that all of the bills for March are paid off, The Car Insurance is caught up until July, the freezer is full, and I have a new 3D printer on the way.

I'm a bit annoyed that after I got done spending today all I had left was $26. Not $26 left of the tax return, $26 total. So if you're reading this and you're wanting to scam me, you're going to have to wait a bit.

I dozed a bit at the computer again while the chicken baked.

I'm very slightly annoyed by my computer today. After I got done vacuum sealing the chicken, pork steaks, and bratwursts I took inventory of the freezer. I use the Open Office Writing program to keep track of what I have in the freezer. And just as I wrote down all that I have in the freezer and took tally I had realized that I didn't know where my check book was. Normally I use checks to buy groceries, but since I had my tax return in I just used my debit card. I was sitting at my computer I knew that it was somewhere around. I knew that I didn't need it right at the moment. But it made me really nervous that I didn't know where it was. I did a kind of panic search for it. Good news I have the dirty laundry picked up in my bedroom, bad news it wasn't in my bedroom. I looked around under my desk it wasn't down there. But the computer power cord is down there. And I must have bumped the power cable because I did find my checkbook behind my monitor. And then I noticed that the computer was on the lock screen when I unlocked it Firefox was reloading all of the tabs. So I'm thinking that I bumped the power cable, not enough to cut power to the computer, but enough to make it shut down a bit. And it closed all of the spreadsheets and files that I was working on. The weight tracking spreadsheets were easy enough to update as I had the data on my phone. But I had to rewrite the daily blog. And I lost the entire update to the inventory that I made today. I'll try to remember to recount the freezer tomorrow before work. It's not a high priority. it is a bit annoying to recount everything over again.

Grilling the hamburger patties this evening got a bit exciting. I was going to cook Keto Gumbo but I remembered that last night I had took some hamburger patties out of the freezer before I changed my mind on what to cook and I had put them in the fridge. I know that you can cook them from frozen, and I'm not sure how long they'll stay good in the fridge. I do know that I didn't want them sitting around too long and end up going bad. The exciting part was grilling them for a little while on one side, and then flipping them over. As they cook on one side the grease is forced to the top of the patty. Flipping the patty over dumps the grease into the fire of the grill.

And holy mosasaur THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ HAS SPOKEN!

I had to check to make sure that I still had eyebrows. Roommate said he looked outside and just saw FIRE. Thankfully the only damage was to the outside of the patties. There was a bit of a crust on them, but the rest turned out fine. It's just been a while since I grilled out so I was stunned by the WHOOSH of fire.
