But tape measure is still lost so can't tell if that is going anywhere. The gut does feel like it's going in the right direction, but I need to find that tape measure. I was able to bake some chicken before heading to work. I lost track of time before work so I had to hurry in. I worked 2pm to 10 pm so I figured that I could eat something before work and call the “lunch break” dinner. But as I had lost track of time I didn't have time to eat anything so I grabbed a pack of hot dogs and ate those before clocking in. Dealt with a low level headache all day long. I woke up with...

Keto Day 4
Sober Month 2 (Day 65)

Weight is tracking up again. But waist is down. It is kind of interesting how much the waist is fluctuating this month. It's only bouncing back and forth between 58 in (147.3 cm) to 57 in (144.8 cm) but it usually stays pretty steady.

The car did get to the gas station, which was a relief. I looked it up and my car Chrysler 300 (not sponsored) has a 18.5 gallon (70 liter) tank. And when I fueled up it took 18.136 gallons (68.652 liters) lol. I got there on fumes, good will, and foreword momentum. I knew it was low so last night when I left the store I picked up a bottle of fuel injector cleaner. I wasn't having any issues with the car, but I know that you're supposed to put it into a nearly empty tank. And it's not a bad idea to do that every once and a while. I really don't like running it that low on gas, but I do like filling it up only once a month.

I did kind of confuse the roommate as he needed to go to a doctor's appointment this morning but the gas station that I use is in the opposite direction from the hospital. There is a gas station on the way (well, there are several in that direction) but the store that I work for has fuel points and I was able to use 1,000 fuel points to get a full dollar off per gallon of gas (again not sponsored) but I was able to get that 18.136 gallons of gas for $29.00. If I'm doing the math correctly that $29 of gas would have cost $47.14 without the fuel points. So yeah, they come in handy.

When I got to work I picked up another bottle of lotion to keep in my locker. Every time I go to the restroom or wash my hands I step into the break room for a squirt of lotion. Hands are a lot better than they have been. Everybody is talking about how Monday is going to be 66 degrees (18 C)

I was scheduled to work as a carryout for several hours. Not a big deal I get paid no matter what I'm scheduled to do. But a guy had changed his mind on one of his pork butts, some cheese, and some ice cream. Since they were cold items they needed to be put away right away. So I put the ice cream away first because it was on the way to put the other items away. But as I got to the meat department that guy was already back there. And he said that since the pork butts were buy one get one he'll just take the one I was putting back. He took the butt from me and hauled ass back up to the front of the store. I was kind of taken aback because, trust me, I would have known if the pork butts were BOGO. I looked at the signage, and the pork butts were $1.99/lb (really not sponsored I swear) there were some pork tenderloins that ARE BOGO, but that wasn't the Pork Butts. I sprinted back up front and the guy was putting the meat into his bag and was trying to run out of the door. I did catch him and convince him that he was incorrect on the price. (Even if he were right and they were BOGO he can't just grab one and run out of the door.) It is kind of crummy how they have the signs, but they are not hard to read if you're paying attention. But my left food REALLY didn't like the sprint that I did to catch up with the guy. However looking at the price of the pork butt they are basically half price. I'm pretty sure that the original price is 3.99/lb (I'll try to remember to edit this to correct it or not)

The last couple of days I did have weight increase, but I do wonder if I'm going to have a weight drop tomorrow. I've been back to Keto for 4 days now and I think I'm back into Ketosis as I've had to go run to go pee every 20 minutes or so. I had started to wonder if there is some kind of cycle. Research says that when fat breaks down it turns into water and carbon dioxide. You breathe out carbon dioxide and water vapor. You also pee it out. I've been peeing like crazy today. So I had the thought that over time the fat breaks down into water and then one day you'll have to pee it all out. But then I remembered that I had a pasta dinner on Sunday. (Wow, that doesn't feel like four days ago) and it takes several days to get back into ketosis. And when you do get back to it you drop a lot of water weight.

But the idea of a cycle of the body breaking down fat and then getting rid of it might be an interesting research topic.

I have say that I was crazy thirsty today. When I got home from work I immediately chugged like four cans of seltzer.  And then I was drinking one can after the other all night long.
