I just kind of sat here at the computer counting down the time until I had to go to work. I worked Noon to Nine closing the Customer Service Desk instead of the normal 11a-8pm Supervisor shift that I usually do. I drank an entire pot of coffee, but I'm just sitting here zoned out. I had thought a couple of times that I need to get a plan together for what I'm going to cook on Tuesday for the weekly lunch. But then I zone back out. First half of the day went really smoothly. Not sure if I should write this down. This is being logged at lunch. I worked a 3:5 split so I went to lunch at 3pm and will have to work 4 to 9. The challenge of the first half of today was that I wasn't supervisor I was s...

Keto Day 1
Sober Month 2 (Day 62)

Used the last of the bacon for breakfast, I'll have to get some tomorrow when I get groceries.

Wow, not much happened today. Hands hurt less today than previous days. But I didn't do much with them. Mom suggested that I get some shortening to moisturize them. I'll add that to the shopping list for tomorrow.

Had an early lunch. It was about 1pm. Which is a little late for most people, but I usually have lunch around 3pm. But I was getting REALLY hungry. I was planning on cooking a small chuck roast that I've had for a while in the fridge, but when I opened the package on the roast it like really bad feet. I think it might have been in the fridge for too long.

The Tax Return is kind of burning a hole in my pocket even before I get it. I spent the day watching reviews on 3D printers. I came across one that is only $279. And the only thing that the reviewers have against it is that you can't go into and modify the deeper parts of the printers programming. Not something that I'm interested in doing. It seems to be fairly “plug and play” A lot of the reviews that I came across reviewed the “Pro” version which is $469. But the only difference between the two models is that the “Pro” version has a more enclosed frame, a webcam, and an LCD light inside of the enclosure. The only thing that the reviewers had against the printer was that the light wasn't very bright and the stock webcam was subpar. One of the reviewers was frustrated that he couldn't go into the deeper parts of the printers programming and mess with the deeper settings. I'm not really interested in getting into the deeper settings. And I do think that it would be interesting to live stream 3D printing, but I don't know if I'm ready to do that. One of the reviewers that reviewed the regular $279 version said you could easily do that with a regular webcam and a standing lamp and save almost half of the price of the “pro” version. One of the reviewers didn't say anything specific about the glass panels on the “pro” version, but the way he talked seemed like he had history with glass panels on printer enclosures.

Baked some bratwursts for dinner. Not sure what to say about that. It's just really easy to bake them up again.

Had a paranoid moment, I'm sitting my these giant windows in my living room and I was getting kind of cold. And then had the thought of, “What if the heater is out again?” It hasn't been down for a couple of years (knock on wood) but for a while every winter the heater would have a part go out on it so it wouldn't blow, it would just have a blinking light on it. I held my breath for a minute not sure if I should get up and check the thermostat so if I should go downstairs and kick it for a while. Landlord is always good on coming out and fixing things, but it was quite late so I'd have to wait for tomorrow for him to come out. But the heater did kick on, so that was a relief.
