I keep catching myself just sitting here at the computer. I blink and it seems to be an hour and a half later. It was quite busy today at work. But the day went smoothly. There was a moment of frustration a kid that was supposed to work yesterday who had a doctors note about not being able to work for the next week or so. The manager didn't bother telling anybody until about an hour before he was supposed to come in to tell anybody that he wasn't going to be able to come in. Thankfully they were able to convince one person to stay late and another to come in on her day off. The frustration there was the guy...

Keto Day 0
Sober Month 2 (Day 61)

Exciting progress over the last couple of days. 9.3 lbs (4.2 kg) in 5 days is exciting. That is 4.5 lbs (2 kg) down for the month. I'm sure a good chunk of that is just water weight. But losing water weight is still getting weight off of my feet.

Roommate was a little irritated at me this morning. I'm running low on bacon so I decided to have a strip steak and eggs for breakfast this morning. I have to say that eggs fried in bacon and steak drippings is a good combination. But he uses a CPAP machine and I guess that the smell of the steak cooking in the seasonings was going into the machine and basically punching him in the face.

The back of my hands look like lizard skin and it hurts to wash them. They feel fine when I wake up and take the gloves off, but later in the day they're on fire again.

A couple of hours into the first half of the day I was getting a bit light headed so I picked up a Powerade Zero Orange and a Savage Slim Jim

Lunch was the last serving of the Creepy Calderon AI recipe that I made back in October. I was going to have a serving of Southwestern Detox Soup, but the cheesy Creepy Cauldron sounded better.

The back of my hands look like lizard skin, I forgot about something this evening when I was doing the loans for the registers to make sure that the closing registers will have enough money in them. I wrote on my palm how much one of the resisters needed like I usually do, did the loan, and then used Hand Sanitizer to clean the writing off of the palm of my hand. Hand Sanitizer...on the severe dry skin on the back of my hands. That hurt. That hurt A LOT. I'm pretty sure that it would have hurt less to pour actual boiling acid on my hands.

Resetting the Keto count because Roommate made dinner and he made a Kielbasa Pasta casserole. I feel like it's kind of my fault for it not being Keto because he did share the recipe with me before he bought the ingredients and I said it'd be fine. But I didn't look very closely and I didn't see that it was a pasta recipe. He asked me if it was okay, and I said yeah, I can't really get on to him for cooking it after I said it was okay. When I got home for lunch he had just discovered that he forgot to plug in the slow cooker. I told him that it should be fine, just set it to “High”. When I got home for the night he said that he looked over the instructions again and he was supposed to cook the pasta before putting it into the slow cooker. And the pasta was under cooked when I got home at 8. I told him to put in a couple cups of water and let it cook a bit longer. It still came out with some of the pasta uncooked.

I put the gloves back on after dinner. it took quite a few tries because they kept ripping. But when I did get a pair on they throbbed less today than they have previous days, I'm not sure if that's progress or not.
