It makes it look like I'm actually making progress and yesterday wasn't just a glitch or one off. I'm not sure if that trend will continue, but it is exciting to “beat” the lowest weight of last year so early in this year. Started out the morning cleaning out the oven. I do have to say that worked out a lot easier than I was expecting to. It was kind of hard as the oven door doesn't come off like in a lot of ovens referenced online in the “how to” videos, or at least I couldn't figure out how to take it off and the positioning of the shelving unit in the corner across the oven made it hard to reach the back left...

Oh, good the smart watch is broken. The face wont turn on, the buttons don't seem to do anything, and it wont connect to the phone. But do you know what does work on it? The alarm -_-

I'll be glad when this winter is over. It's never really bothered me before, but this cold is really starting to get annoying. It just keeps going. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be complaining about the heat soon enough

Back down to last months' lowest weight. GOODBYE ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS. Looking at the graph of the weight over the year is interesting though. Last month there was a real sharp downwards trend from the 18th to the 25th. And that's when I started buying diet sodas and from time to time buying beer. And it gradually climbed. And this month as I have gotten rid of diet soda, flavored sparkling water, and beer it is more of a gradual decline. Not quite sure what caused the sharp drop, and I know that a gradual decline is probably healthier. But the impatience likes the sharper drop of last month lol.

I was doing a bit more research on how artificial sweeteners may cause weight gain. But it seems to be hard for researchers to find the links for that. Because it's hard to determine if larger people are large because they switched from regular sodas to diet sodas; or if they switched from regular sodas to diet sodas because they are large. One article called this reverse causation. No one is going to argue that diet soda is in any way good for you. It would just be interesting to see what exactly the artificial stuff is doing in the body and how it compares to just regular sugar. There are some sodas that brag about being “real sugar” and some idiots think that makes it healthy. I think I'm just going to stick with coffee in the morning and water for the rest of the day.

I had my debit card with me because I bought some BBQ sauce last night. I spent a while pacing back and forth in front of the meat wall chanting, “I have food at home, I have food at home...” Interestingly I wasn't tempted by beer. Probably because I didn't walk in that direction after clocking out. The other stores are kind of lucky The beer cooler in our store is next to the dairy cooler, which is on the way to the break room where I clock out. The other stores have a completely different section where their beer coolers are, but when I go to clock out the beer cooler is in front of me for most of the time walking back to where I clock out. That's not an excuse for buying it, but it does put it in the mind when I'm getting off of work. I did manage to get out of the store without buying anything. I remembered to take my debit card out of my wallet when I got home. I am budgeting for some checks for bills to come through this week, and it would suck if I wasn't able to shake temptation and and then not have money for bills just because I had bought food when I already have food.

Set up some chicken to bake after work. But it takes a while for frozen chicken to bake and I was really hungry after work. So I had a serving of Broccoli Hamburger Sausage Alfredo. It was a small serving so it'll probably be fine eating that and a whole serving of chicken later on. And I was legitimately hungry, stomach growling kind of hungry, not just what I like to call “mouth hungry” where you smell something, or think of something that sounds good and then you start getting hungry.

And it is exciting to be back on track weight wise. I keep saying that happiness isn't a number on the scale, but this is the track that I want to be on. Buying food when I already have food, and buying beer or soda is very not.
