Was very excited this morning. This was the second month in a row where I didn't have any fees in my savings account and was able to pay all of the months bills on the first of the month. The fees that I have to worry about in the savings account are if you make more than two transfers out of the savings account online you are charged a dollar for every transfer (transfers you do at the bank in person don't count towards the fee). The other fee is that if your savings account ever gets under $100 in the month they'll charge you $3. One of my long time goals is to have all of the bills for the month paid on the first of each month. It is just so unbelievably satisfying to have all of the things paid off as the month starts without any other checks out (Other than Rent). So I don't have to spend weeks trying to do the math to try to figure out how much money I have this week, and how much I'm making the next week and how much longer until the next check comes in etc.

More than a little annoyed at the electric bill though. The bill for November was due on November 2 so I paid that on time and I wasn't too worried about the due date for December because I'm going to pay it on the first so it really shouldn't matter what the due date for the month is right? Well no, I guess not because I guess they decided that the due date for the DECEMBER bill should be the 30th of NOVEMBER. So even though I paid the bill for the month on the first of the month it was technically late. I didn't pay the amount that it said it would be with the late fee, because that's just BS. I'm sure that I'll have to pay it on next months bill, but I was cranky that they're expecting me to pay a late fee for paying a bill on the first of the month.

But that made me rethink the idea of paying the bill on the first day of each month. I think I'm going to pay all of my bills on the last day of each month. So I'll pay all of January's bills on December 31st, and all of February's bills on January 31st etc. Therefore I'll still have the satisfaction of starting off the month with all of the bills paid and not have to worry about if they're expecting it before the month even starts. It's going to make December a bit tighter, because I'm paying all of December's bills and then January's bills in the same month. But it'll all work out; the freezer is still full of food and I don't have any other bills due. (donations are still appreciated)

Bacon and eggs again this morning. I'm still trying to fill the jar of bacon grease that I've started. I wonder if I picked a jar that's just going to be too big. The jar I had selected was a quart size (0.9 L) and it's taking a while to fill. I'm thinking I should have used one of the jars that I used to make the clarified butter I make from time to time. It would be frustrating to finally get that jar completely full just for it to go south on me because it was sitting around for too long.

At lunch time I picked up a can of Sugar Free Rockstar Energy, I think I'm going to try to break that habit of picking those up at lunchtime. I really don't need the extra energy during the day and those are really kind of bitter and really kind of expensive. Especially when thinking of the water I'm already paying for at home. Had a serving of Tootn' Chili with a couple slices of cheese and a spoonful of sour cream. It's called “Tootn' Chili” but I spent the entire rest of the day burping. I'm hoping that is a reaction to the beans in the chili and not the cheese and sour cream. Having to get rid of dairy would make me sad. And not necessarily in the “Standard American Diet” way.

Dinner was what the packaging called a strip steak but again it looked bigger than the google pictures show as a strip steak. (Not that I'm complaining) What I was kind of nervous was the idea of Roommate hearing/smelling what I was cooking and asking what was for dinner. Not that he ever forces (or probably expects me to cook for him) but it's an awkward thought of, "Here's my food, sucks for you!" But then again he did spend a lot of yesterday buying his food for what he'll have when he's home, so I shouldn't worry about it. And he didn't say anything as I was cooking and eating. (His dog did stare at me then entire time though)

I really am trying to get these done earlier, particularly tonight since I had traded hours to work earlier tomorrow. Because the family is going to have our Thanksgiving tomorrow evening. The dinner is going to be a little later than I thought it was going to be, but that works for me because that means I'll be able to make the Green Bean Casserole that I was panning on making. The challenge for tomorrow will be waking up that early
