Weeks Without Beer 1 (12 Days)
Woke up with a Charlie Horse and feet felt like FIRE. The last several days I've woke up with a bit of a headache and some other “unwellness” stuff but they usually go away when I get up and moving. Today however the feet, ankles, and knees were just pain all day today. I'm seeing online that Keto can cause a deficiency in potassium and magnesium and that can cause cramping and pain in the muscles. I think I'll be adding those supplements to the shopping list for next week. I do like the idea that you should take all of your vitamins and nutrients through the food that you eat so if anybody has any suggestions for any food that I should be eating that contains the nutrients that I'm missing I would greatly appreciate it.
Breakfast was a Rib Eye and eggs. Was almost late to work as I was just not in a hurry to get up and moving.
I had a hell of an emotional whiplash when I first got to work. This morning the pay check deposited and it was considerably larger than I was expecting so I was able to pay off all of my bills along with getting my car insurance paid and before work I felt like I was going Super Saiyan it's been so very long since I was able to have all of the bills paid by the first pay check of the month with no checks (outside of the rent check) pending. All of the bills were paid off, I had a freezer full of food and a meal plan for the week, the weight was down for the day and down more than almost all of last month.
And then I got to work
“HEY MARK, HEY MARK, MARK, MARK, MARK, HEY MARK!!!”
Why do I have to explain to customers that if they make a new online account with a new username and a new password, they aren't using the old account? Why do I have to tell the carryouts that when I tell them that they have to do the restroom checks that they have to actually sign that they've done the restroom checks? Why do I have to explain to people that the Christmas merchandise isn't on markdown the first week of November? How do I explain to customers that all of the carts are being used for all of the markdown Halloween stuff? I had more than one person tell me that they “Don't believe in Halloween” when they were upset that there wasn't a cart available. I'm sorry, but there still isn't a cart because all of the carts are filled with leftover candy and fall stuff. All of the markdown area was filled with scented candles and other merchandise that is fall related and all of it is markdown, unfortunately they didn't print markdown stickers on the stuff because the fall related items were marked down in the scanning computer; that leaves the question of how much the items are supposed to be. So people kept asking me how much things are. A somewhat reasonable question, but the frustration is that the energy drink I had at lunch was really effective so I was really high strung. So it felt like every other step I was taking I had someone came up to me, “how much is this? How much is this?” and every single thing people would say would start with the same statement, “there's no tag on this, how much is it?” Now it isn't fair to get frustrated at any single person for this statement, but the thousandth time you've heard the same question starting the same way, it gets kind of irritating.
Lunch was the Lazy White Lasagna. I should have put more cheese in it when warming it up. It was kind of boring to eat. It would have been a bit better with a bit more Mozzarella or something in it.
Dinner was a pork steak that was good for the diet, and Mac and Cheese that was not good for the diet. I was just thinking of how good a box of mac and cheese would go with the pork steak and I just couldn't resist. I know that it'll probably put me back a couple of days on the keto, but until I find a substitute for mac and cheese that beats anything that you can just boil for 10 minutes and enjoy this will happen from time to time. I have some other recipes for "Keto Mac and Cheese" but they're just not as easy as the "bad stuff"
