I know that it's going to be a “Vitamin P” kind of thing, but it would be nice if the waist line was as dynamic as the scale. I have noticed over the last couple of days the gut had been more “Saggy” and soft. Good news is that means I'm losing fat, bad news is that it's going to start drooping under my shirt if I'm not careful. But I'll take saggy gut over sore feet any day of the week. And on that point feet and shins felt amazing this morning. It sucked last night a screw came out of the back of my computer chair. I was able to put the screw back in. And it seems to be holding, but for a while I was thinking that I was going to have to buy a new one. That would kind ...

Weeks Without Beer 1 (9 Days)

Finished off the last of the diet canned diet soda and threw away all of the old cans that were piling up on my desk. I don't know why I keep all of the cans of drinks that I am drinking I did this both with beer and sodas that I drank. I'll keep the cans until I finish the case and then fill up the box with the used cans. It makes absolutely no sense to keep these cans, it just makes it so that I'm surrounded by literal trash until I finish the entire box. But at least I'm done with those and I don't plan on wasting more money on any more cases of soda any time soon. Maybe a 2 litter or so every once in a while but I'm not going to be buying pop in bulk like that again anytime soon. (hopefully) Going to want to be drinking mostly water from now on.

Had a bit of a shock before breakfast. All of the dishes were dirty so I had to clean some before I could cook. And a giant honking spider had found it's way into the kitchen sink. It looked like a Brown Recluse but two or three times the size. I'm not saying that it's legs were long, it had a body that was two or three times the size of a regular brown recluse. (not that I got out the tape measure out or anything) Maybe a wolf spider? Google says that you can tell the difference between the two by looking to see if it has a violin shape on it's back. Yeah, no. I'm not getting my face close enough to any spider to see if it's the deadly kind. Had a heck of a time getting it out of the sink. I didn't want to squish it (spiders eat the things that you don't want in your home) But dude didn't seem to realize that I was trying to save it. I did manage to get a large piece of paper to have it crawl on to while I filled the sink with water. I tried to toss the spider away, but it landed right into my trash can. It might have been more humane to just squish the damned thing, oh well.

For breakfast I had finished the last of the sausage patties that I had in the freezer. I really shouldn't eat that many at a time. It's good sausage and I feel good eating it, but they don't last very long when I'm eating six patties at a time.

Had a pan fried a pork steak for lunch. That's something I usually grill outside, but roommate is home with his dog and the mutt makes it hard to grill outside. Dude gets excited when I'm coming in and out of the door. And carrying food makes it worse. I'd hate to open the door, coming in with food, and have him take off. Dog is micro-chipped, but I wouldn't want to spend one of the few afternoons I have off chasing after a dog who got out and thinks that we're playing around the neighborhood.

Sat down a lot today. When evening came I thought, “Oh yeah, tomorrow is Halloween. That means that's the end of the month, I should really get the schedule list for next month's videos set up” I already have three of the four recipes recorded and awaiting editing so I just need to get the four Store Stories videos chosen and scripted out. And now that I wrote that out it is kind of a strange thing to think of about Halloween.

Dinner this evening was some Southwest Detox Soup. I made some last week when I decided to quit drinking beer; because, you know, detox soup, and wow that recipe makes a lot! It is kind of a strange day when I cook lunch and microwave dinner. It was kind of frustrating to eat, I should have chopped up the veggies better. I remember correctly I have to break out the food processor whenever I eat this soup.

I also did a bit of grazing in the evening after dinner. I came across a bag of Pork Rinds that I had bought for a recipe video. I had bought too much for that recipe and a jar of salsa that was in the same situation for a different recipe. I'm not even a big fan of Pork Rinds, but they're not that bad with some salsa. Could have used a bit of sour cream in that combination.
