There is an interesting pattern of two down days, and then an up day. But I'm not sure if that's an actual pattern, or just happens to be so in the randomness so far. I'm sitting here at the computer thinking that I should be doing something. But whenever I try to think of anything that I'm supposed to be doing my brain just flat lines. I'm sure that I'll be frustrated on Wednesday when I go to work that I didn't get that “one thing” done, but I just can't think of anything that I'm supposed to be doing. I was talking with Chat GPT and it seems to want me to set up a scheduled transfer for a specific amount. I think I like my “Flowing Cu...

Too busy cooking to eat Daily Keto Blog May 30, 2023

Waist: 56.5 in ( 143.5 cm)
WtHr: 76.4%

Breakfast: Bacon and eggs

Had a bit of a slow start today. I was laying in bed thinking of all of the stuff I want to get done today, but Tuesdays are my days off, but I have a lot to do today...repeat.

When I did finally convenience myself to get going I was excited to see that I was back under 330 lbs (149.7 kg) again! It's only by 3oz (90g) But hey, it's still under the last goal. Unlikely to meet the next goal ( 320 lbs {145.2 kg} by June 5) 330 lbs is the goal that I've been working on for the longest. And that's the one where I know if I hit it, I'm on the right track. When I'm not doing things right I'm never under 330 lbs. Waistline is up a bit from yesterday, but I'm noticing that the sides of the gut are sinking in again.

Did a quick search for a couple of recipes to make videos of. But took the time to defrost the freezer. I was a bit nervous half way through doing this though, my truck driver roommate said that he was coming home this week for a doctors appointment and the defrosting leaves quite a pond of melt water on the kitchen floor. I wouldn't imagine that would be very good for the dog that he keeps with him. He didn't come in today (kind of forgot which day he was planning to come in, and a bit too awkward to ask) Thankfully I was able to get the kitchen cleaned back up again; or at least cleaned up for human standards, I'm still sure the dang dog is going to be licking the floor all week long.

A funny thing is that as I was leaving the store after buying the ingredients for the couple of recipes that I used as an excuse to go to the store to pick up the water bottle that I forgot yesterday, I almost forgot the bottle sitting on the customer service desk. I had a good chuckle running back to the customer service desk.

I did get two of the recipes that I bought the ingredients for today cooked. The third recipe is for an omelet that just didn't feel right to cook that late in the day. It was kind of cool that I got most of the ingredients for three different meals for less than $50. That's not $50 for three servings, that's three full meals with multiple servings for two of the meals. Unfortunately with the replacement propane bottle and the Bud Light Next that I chose to get as well the end bill was $80. I'm trying to remind myself that, that's still quite a deal when compared to running to fast food or picking up something from the store just because I didn't bother to have a meal planned out. The challenge now is to stick to the food that I now have planned out.

This afternoon when I realized that I had enough recipe videos recorded, and enough food in the freezer to last me until the middle of July and now is just the end of May I couldn't help but dance around my living room. That is half of the scripted videos, and a third of all of the videos I'm planning on for June already recorded. They say that one of the biggest keys to success on YouTube is to be a consistent upload-er and I already have nearly a third of the videos for next month already done!

Another funny thing is that I spent so much time this afternoon recording recipe videos I didn't have time to have lunch. And the irony of “too busy cooking to eat” is not lost on me.

I did pick up some Bud Light Next when I bought the groceries today, I am wanting to quit alcoholic beverages. But the temptation was too strong today. I do plan on leaving my debit card at home for the rest of the week because now that I have a full meal plan made out I have no need to have any form of payment with me. And I'm also wanting to quit the energy shots as well. So if I leave my debit card at home I'll have no way of buying the energy shots or any more beer. so double win.
