Sitting at the computer I can't even keep my eyes open, but when I go to bed my brain is doing jumping jacks and back flips. Waking up this morning I think I figured out why they call that breed of dog a “shit zu” Mom's little dog Shelby was just yapping her little head off. I hadn't fallen asleep until 2:30, but there goes Shelby yapping around at around 7:45.  Good loss on the scale. Recorded a General Update video this morning. Probably going to be spending all day thinking about the things I wanted to have mentioned. For instance I wanted to mention that I started off 2023 sober. Kind of helps that the first was a Sunday and I have about five whole dollars to my name.

Once again I wake up with a ton of hope and optimism, and then I go to work and it feels like a giant gut punch. We only had one person call in, so far at my lunch break, but that shift was covered by someone who was asking for more hours anyway. But it's kind of bad when you can feel your emotions deflating as you walk into a building.

Got tired of pork steak every night so I baked up some of the chicken that I had in the freezer. Unfortunately it was the last of the chicken in the freezer. But tomorrow is Tuesday and when I write a check on Tuesday it processes on Thursday, which is the day I get paid. I'm going to be going to be picking up more chicken and I'm going to have to choose a casserole to pick up the ingredients for the Tuesday recipe video.

Really good drop on the scale this morning. I haven't started a year under 330 (149.7 kg) since 2015. I've been lower in weight a couple of times last year. But I haven't been this constantly low for quite some time. I'm working 10-7 today so a little bit earlier than I'm used to. And I did wake up naturally right at 8am, but I kept trying to tell myself that I have less time than normal to get things done. It was like my brain was saying, “we need to get up and hurry!” and my body was like, “cool, cool story bro” The weight has tracked up over the last couple of days, but not nearly as much as the last several years. In the previous years I had thought that it was because of the onset of winter.
