My
roommate is a trucker and he was passing through town today so we
agreed to meet to catch breakfast and catch up. He discovered an AI
chat bot that is helping him write a novel. He's encouraging me to
use it to improve my YouTube channel, and I might look into using it
to improve my blog. I might look into it, but I'm kind of nervous
about having an AI to take over my videos or blogs. I chose the
complete omelet because it seemed to be the thing that had the least
carbs in it. Of course that meal comes with hash browns and pancakes.
I know that I could have asked them to hold off on those, but I
didn't have the guts to ask. It probably seems silly, but I didn't
want to be a complicated customer. And of course there wasn't anyone
shoving the food down my face. But I ordered them and it seemed like a waste to not eat them. But that reminds me of a saying that my grandma used to say, "Waste in the waste or wasting on the waist is the same thing"
I'm a bit concerned with my checking account. I ordered a smart watch off of amazon and it charged my account $75.97 and this morning I got another charge for $75.97 from Amazon. The first one just said, “AMAZON.COM SEATTLE” but the other one is showing AMAZON.COM and what looks like an order number. Both of the charges show that they are still pending. So it could be that the first one was some kind of place holder while the order processed. And this evening when the bank updates the AMAZON.COM SEATTLE will probably drop off. At least that's what I'm hoping is what is going to happen.
I got the electricity bill today and it was only $58.15. And as someone who is supposed to have the average pay plan turned on it was kind of a surprise to see the bill of fifty something dollars. Somehow the payment plan got turned off. That would explain why the bill last month showed an “average payment plan settlement balance” any why the bill was over $200 when it just showed a cost of $57. I turned the average pay plan back on and it said that next month's bill will be about $109 which would be a lot closer to what I was expecting. I put that in this months slot in the spreadsheet.
Today is payday and it was nice to transfer a good chunk of the paycheck into savings like I want to on most paydays. I left a bit of the paycheck in the checking account because the checks that I wrote for the electricity bill and the natural gas bill still haven't gone through just yet. but it was still nice to transfer some of the paycheck into savings.
The system regarding fuel points, digital coupons, and using phone numbers in place of shoppers cards is still messed up at work. And it is frustrating as hell to tell people that the systems are not working correctly. Most of the time phone numbers will work, but every once and a while the system will go down. And when I tell people that the system where you can type in your phone number was down. They'll insist that they've been using that number for years, it is obviously their number. I'll tell them that is wasn't their number that was the problem it was the computers having a problem. They'll try their numbers again. It still didn't work because the system was still down. They'll insist that they'll try another number, I'll tell them that the system is down it wont matter what number they use. They'll use another number, but since the system is broken it didn't work either. I figured out that if someone is using the self checkout and they type in their number too many times when the system is down it will require you to void or suspend the order. But people would not understand that the system was broken. There was one person that I was trying to explain this to, while the entire self checkout area was full, while there were screaming children, and while about half the population of Kansas was in the store. She told me that she didn't appreciate me yelling at her. I told her that I didn't appreciate having to repeat myself five or six times and still have the person that I was talking to not understand what I'm saying because she was trying to type in her phone number again while system was broken, and there was a note on the register saying that it was broken. I'm not too worried about my snide slip, because she still didn't seem to hear me as she just paid for her transaction without her shoppers card.
Had another half hour lunch today, so I picked up another pack of Bar S hot dogs. I really couldn't think of any other thing to grab for lunch. But it's still "dirty keto" and after a breakfast that wasn't even kind of keto, I'll just roll with that.
I was kind of annoyed to see that there was corn syrup in the brats as well, but probably going to be in all processed meat. Heck, even the bacon that I picked up this evening showed that it had sugar listed in the ingredients, the nutritional facts still showed 0 carbohydrates in the bacon. I'm not sure what the carbs in the brats, but still probably still good for "Dirty Keto". I did a quick google search on them. And the site I found doesn't seem to be very impressed by those particular brats. The site suggested some more expensive sausages. But again, there's a rea$son I'm not buying the expensive stuff. Maybe I should just get into the habit of cooking the casseroles that I want to be cooking and portioning them out.
