W eight: 351.4 lbs ( 159.4 kg) BMI: 45.4 Waist: 57.5 in (146.1 cm) WtHr: 77.7% Breakfast: Bacon and Eggs Lunch: St. Louis Style Ribs Dinner: Leftover Ribs Drinks: Pot of Salted Coffee, Kroger Seltzer Sober Day 3 YMCA: Swimming I was able to get up a bit easier today than I have been lately. It helped that I didn't have Twitter (I'm sorry “X”) on my phone. I couldn't find my tape-measure so I'm not 100% certain on my waist measurement, but I'm not going to guess that it changed much. My belly is feeling a bit tight, but that might be the Seltzer water that. I forgot that I wanted to wait until I was done at the Y to step on the scale. And when I first woke up I stepped on it and it said, 353.8 lbs (160.5 kg) That's 1.8 lbs (0.8 kg) up from yesterday. I tried to console myself with the idea of daily fluctuations and happiness isn't a number on the scale. That was a good motivator to go to the YMCA like I want to be doing. And when I got back from the Y

The weight being up 2/10ths of a pound ( 0.09 kg) isn't going to bother me too much it's not even enough to effect BMI. It was probably too much diet soda yesterday. I am excited that my waist measurement is down. I don't think I've had a 54 inch waist since 2018. This wasn't even "creative rounding" or anything. It really was right at 54 inches! And like 330 lbs (149.7 kg) 54 inches (137.2 cm) seems to be another hurdle that I struggle with. So if I can make progress on that it would be quite exciting. It is kind of interesting that 0.5 inches off of the waist is 0.6% off of the WtHr

Saw some weather forecasts for this weekend and people are pretty excited that the highs are going to be in the 60's ( >15 C) This weekend. I know that it's still February, but I'm looking forward to when the LOWS will be in the 60's. And today was Groundhog's day. And that damn thing is calling for six more weeks of winter. Thankfully it's usually wrong.

Today was a very meh day. Sure we were short handed and someone called in, but that's really nothing new. I was dealing with a lot of frustration due to the issue that I keep having. It was really bad today. I keep having to repeat myself, every time I say say anything I have to repeat myself. Everything I said I had to repeat myself. Every...single...time...I...said...ANYTHING...I...had...to...re...peat...my...self. EVERY TIME I SAID ANYTHING I HAD TO REPEAT MYSELF! I had to repeat myself every time I said anything. People will eventually get a shocked look on their face and ask me, “Why are you yelling at me?” WELL, IT'S EITHER THE FOURTH OR FIFTH TIME I'VE REPEATED MYSELF OR IT'S THE ONLY WAY ANYONE CAN HEAR ME! Everyone's inevitable response? “What did you say?” That's one of the reasons I would love to have a job in an office environment. I've been told that my voice has a very low tone. And in an office I wouldn't have to compete with the noise of about a hundred people a couple of registers going, the freezers and coolers, along with the stores climate control, and any other noises that drown out my voice.

I do have an idea of why I might not have been very active yesterday. I had bought some diet soda, particularly diet orange soda. And from my understanding drinking very sweet or certain flavors of things (Such as fruit flavored things) can cause a release of insulin which would cause a lowering of blood sugar. And even though you haven't actually received any sugar; your tongue says hey this tastes sweet that must mean it's sugar, and then tells brain we just got some sugar, brain say okay let's prepare for some sugar, pancreas release some insulin and lower the blood sugar because we're about to get more sugar. But since I didn't get any sugar blood sugar stays low and a symptom of low blood sugar is low energy. And yeah that wouldn't last very long. But than I drank another can of diet orange soda. Which would start the cycle all over again. But that's just a guess, I really wasn't that active before I bought the orange soda.

Saw a news story talking about a weight loss drug. It apparently costs $1300 per dose. I'm thinking that Keto sounds a heck of a lot cheaper. The news story was talking about the frustrations of the insurance companies not covering the drugs. I'll agree with the frustration that insurances don't take obesity as the serious thing that it is. My personal feeling is that a lot of people assume that weight loss is purely a aesthetic thing. (And they probably make more money charging people to treat the individual problems that obesity causes) Something else that I noted was that when the people stop taking the drugs their weight comes back on. I would say that the same does happen with Keto, but that's why you don't stop doing Keto
