Got breakfast done and a store story video recorded before getting ready for work. It was a three part video of people that I had to deal with in one day that really set off my “Fight or Flight” instincts. The unedited video was pretty close to an entire hour long video, so we'll see how long it'll be once I edit all of the “um's” and “uh's” and looking at the script out of it. I'll try to post it tomorrow (Thursday)
Coming home for lunch to work on editing the video I saw a school bus up ahead of the street and I saw its stop sign and lights were on. I was pretty sure that this was my mother. She drives a school bus and I've seen her drive this route before. As she drove closer I saw that it was my mother and I was really careful to watch for her sign and lights. That would have been awkward as hell if I were to run her stoplights. I don't get the feeling that people running the stoplights/sign is something that happens very often but ooohhh, she does get cranky when it does. I was raised on corporal punishment and I am 36, but I'm pretty sure that she'd bring that back if I were to ran her stoplights/sign
Work went really smooth again. I did experience another BURST of energy after lunch. I'm starting to think that cottage cheese is a good cheap lunch. But I still need to get into a habit of eating the food I already have at home. Again I spent a while after work in front of the meat wall in the back of the store pacing back and forth chanting that I have food at home. I did finally convince myself to just bake some of the chicken that I already have at home in my freezer. And when I got home I took a slab of ribs out of the freezer for tomorrow.
I'm off of work tomorrow and I'm going to try to go an entire day without buying anything. I need to get my spending under control. But when I got the ribs out of the freezer I thought about going to the store to get the stuff to make some homemade BBQ sauce and some homemade Ranch dressing. But I already have some G Hughes Sugar Free BBQ Sauce and some Kroger Ranch Dressing at home. So buying that stuff would just be buying the stuff to make some stuff that I already have. When it comes to food I'm pretty bad at that. I had a good chuckle today when I saw the ad for this week. (The store where I work the weekly ad starts on Wednesday) And this week there are digital coupons for chuck roasts and for some pork ribs. My freezer is still full from the last couple of several of times those two meats were on sale. There is a really good deal on Corned Beef Brisket. I might be picking up a couple of those. (Not sponsored, in fact I'm sure that there would be some executive brains exploding if they saw my online presence) There is also a digital coupon on some ground sausage so I might make some “Egg Stuff” sometime next week when I'm on vacation. But I have an entire week to buy that stuff, I don't need to buy anything tomorrow.
