Sure, this isn't the 400th daily blog post, but it's the 400th post on this blog. Kind of feeling proud about that.
Waking up was strange this morning. It was a very smooth wake up. A smooth wake up at 5am. I do want to start waking up earlier in the day so a 5am wake up is fine for me, but still...strange I just DON'T wake up at 5 in the freaking morning. What was really strange was that I just kind of regained consciousness. It is hard to describe, maybe I'm just used to be awoken by alarm settings on my watch or phone. It was really kind of nice to have the quiet wake up. It was kind of frustrating that it still took me another four or five hours before I could get up and doing anything.
Made a meal plan for next week. And took the opportunity to thaw out the ice buildup in the freezer. I do this every couple of months but the last time I was going to do it the roommate was home (He's an OTR trucker). I'm not too worried about him, but he has a dog that he keeps with him on the truck and the defrosting the freezer leaves a pretty big puddle on the kitchen floor. I wouldn't imagine that freezer water that has drained through a dirty refrigerator onto a dirty floor would be very good for a dog. And that dude would be lapping that up. I'm kind of running low on chicken, which is something that I don't want to be saying very often. Luckily chicken is on sale this week. I'm also kind of disturbed that the count of the food stuffs in the freezer doesn't count for two servings a day for the entire week. I'm going to have to come up with a couple of recipes to make. But that is one of the YouTube things I want to be working on.
It was well after the time where I usually eat lunch when I realized that I hadn't eaten lunch. And by the time I would have gotten lunch cooked it would have been considered dinner anyway. And again I got really hungry when I realized that I hadn't eaten for most of the day, but I do recognize that was psychosomatic "hunger" I did bake chicken for dinner later in the evening so I'm not starving myself, but I do feel like it's important to only eat when actually hungry
It's St. Patrick's Day and I'm a little more than a little annoyed that I forgot to get the corned beef out of the freezer for the slow cooker. Oh well, it's going to be part of the food plan for this next week.
