Down under “progress goal” again! Still kind of soon to call that goal “beaten” Waistline is still being stubborn. But that's okay, I'm stubborn too. It is exciting to be under the weight that I haven't been since 2015. And it is really fun to see the “Average Change” on the “Full Weight Tracking and Projection” spreadsheet to be in the red. I think today is going to hurt. I am scheduled to work 10 am to 8 pm. Lunch is at 3pm which is 5 hours into the day then I come back for four more hours. I'm sure that it'll go smoothly and I'm trying not to amp myself up for the negative, but today is going to be a LONG day. The CSM and her back up were both there this...

Timeline of the 2017 Solar Eclipse

I was going to make this a video, but I have a feeling that if I made this a video it would have been extremely underwhelming.  Because my videos are just me talking to a camera.  And if someone wanted to watch video about a solar eclipse they would not want to watch a video of a guy reading his notes about watching a solar eclipse.  Okay, I'll just go ahead and post this here like someone is going to read it. I was apprehensive about the day because the weather called for clouds. And that morning I woke to thunder. And a good amount of cussing. This was supposed to be a special event, something that only happens once a century and I'm going to miss it because of some flipping rain. But the rain and clouds cleared out pretty quickly and I got a beautiful day to watch the sun. Thankfully I had bought some of the solar glasses a couple of days before. The store I work at we were selling some before the eclipse, unfortunately we had ran out rather quickly and I w...

Journal for 8/22/11

Warning to whoever reads this: This took three hours to write it does ramble a lot I try to stay on one subject at a time though. What is so special about today that I would start a journal? Nothing, I guess that is what makes it a good day to do so. If I only wrote journal on extraordinary days than I would hardly ever do so, or even worse I would make up stuff to write in here. Both of which would be detrimental to what I am trying to do. I am not sure what that is yet, but I know that it would be bad. I found out my Wiley is going to Alaska next week. (His friend from collage is getting married, best of wishes to Wiley’s friend) so he is pretty much getting a free ride vacation to Alaska. Nevertheless, what I am excited about is getting the apartment to myself for a whole week. He has already paid his half of the bills so I do not mind him taking off work. Although I jokingly suggested he ask for PTO. Several days ago my computer chair broke. Technically, just the arm...

An insane day

I apologize in advance for any grammatical mistakes I stayed up all night typing this up. I promised myself that I would never do a Blog or video rant about my work since I rarely have anything good to say about my job. And I hate to hold onto the negative things in life. It's just that I had the most insane day at work. Of the nearly eight years that I've worked at this grocery store (I don't want to say the name of the company for various reasons) I have never had to handle the challenge that was thrown at me yesterday. It started out normal enough, I was scheduled to be a cashier for the first half of my shift and the only complaint I have about that is that I couldn't watch the storm that had rolled through. (Although everybody else seamed to be able to.) I did have to run through the cold ass rain to get to my car to go home for lunch. As I was coming back from lunch, and this is the funny part, I remember thinking to myself that the rest of the day should...
