I felt physically better by the evening. But people at work were pissing me off. Another instance of “What the hell is going on in our schools” a guy had a digital coupon for 2 litters of soda. (not sponsored) and was angry because he got 14 bottles of soda and they were supposed to be 99 cents with the digital coupon and he couldn't figure out why his total was twenty something dollars. Well, digital coupons are limit 5. And it took off the five bottles. He insisted that he knew it was limit five, that's why he got 14 of them. 14 is more than 5. He knew 14 is more than five, he works at a school. While I was trying to explain what the word “limit” meant to somebody who insisted ...

Sober Month 10 (Day 322)

Good weight this morning. I thought the scale was glitching again, but each time I stood on the scale it gave me the same (ish) number! That's the lowest weight so far this year. That's 0.8 lbs (0.4 kg) pounds from the lowest weight last year.

Yesterday they called me to ask if I wanted to come in an hour early to cover somebody's lunch because the lady who was supposed to do that lunch had a doctor's notice that she can't work for the next several days. I agreed because I was kind of shorted on hours this week. I didn't realize that I was volunteering for a 6:2 split day. When I got there the trans person at self checkout asked me if I was coming in to be Supervisor at the moment. I told her that I do a lot of things to be a smart ass because I wasn't sure where I was supposed to be. She was upset when I we both figured out that I was in the customer service desk by myself so the bookkeeper for the morning was going to lunch. She was upset because she was running self checkout for five hours (7am to Noon) and nobody was available to give her a 15 minute break. But he bookkeeper this morning told me that because of all of the people that called out yesterday and the general shortness of our help he had to run the desk for the full nine hours without any break and I was working six hours before my lunch and I was unlikely to get a break myself. 15 minute breaks aren't scheduled and not promised. If it's slow enough and we have the crew you can, in theory, get a 15 minute break if you work more than four hours. But I'm getting the feeling that those are just going to go fully the way of the dinosaur. They're never going to give us the help to take any breaks. They barely give me to do the job proper, much less to give people time to sit down.

As I had spent the first half, err “half” of the day running like crazy for six hours I was quite tired when it was time for lunch. I was taking advantage of the Buy Two Get One sale on the Monster energy. While I was standing in line I was barely standing up. And a lady came by and announced, “HAPPY MARK, YOUR SUPPOSED TO ACT HAPPY!!” I just said, “I'm tired.” I didn't feel like arguing or explaining.

Eating lunch was kind of annoying. Well, first it was a bit unnerving as the turning table in the microwave was kind of jittering as it spun and reheated the lunch. But when I was eating it the shredded cabbage just wouldn't all fit on my spoon as I tried eating it so I was constantly slouping and slarping up every spoonful. I CANNOT STAND listening to eating noises, and it's even worse when I'm making them.

Second “half” went a lot more smoothly as I was just scheduled to carryout for a couple of hours. But when I got home I just kind of shutdown at the computer for a while.

For dinner was one of the Screaming Sicilian Pizzas and some garlic bread. Again not the most Ketogenic, but it did taste good. And I just noticed that I had forgotten to put Parmesan and garlic powder on top of the pizza. Wow I'm tired.

I'll have to remember to save my work whenever I record the spending each night on the "Absolute Idiot's" projection, as when I reopen the tab on the page that the tracking is on it has me rerun the projection and it starts over from when it started, unless I save a backup and load that saved version. Now I'm kind of glad that it chose to include that. I had thought it had just suggested that to have a backup encase anything happened to mess it up. But if I want it to save anything I put in I have to save my work.
