Sober Month 10 (Day 313)

Because of the ending of Daylight Savings Time I inadvertently posted a little earlier than I normally do last night. As I was going to bed I noticed that it was just getting to 11pm, I usually post around midnight. But I was so tired by eyes were starting to stick closed. Even so the sleep tracking app still says I was awake until after 2am. And I still woke up at 8am, even though I should be used to be waking up an hour earlier because of the time change.

Spent a while thawing out the freezer. It's not completely thawed out as there is still ice in the back of the box, but at least the vents are uncovered so the food in the fridge will stay good. I'm sure that leaving a bit of ice in the back of the freezer isn't very good for the freezer. I'm sure that when I get to defrosting it tomorrow, or next week when I get to it that ice will be even harder because it was partially thawed and refrozen. But Roommate was stamping his feet and whining about not being able to cook his breakfast.

Since I was cleaning out the freezer I went ahead and made a meal plan for the next week. I was kind of shocked to see that I had so few meals after getting the meal plan together. I was already planning on upping the cost of the next couple of grocery trips. I'm going to take advantage of some BOGO deals on some frozen Pizzas and Pork Loins, there's also a Digital Coupon on Corned Beef (not sponsored, even though it does kind of sound like it) I'm going to make a batch of chili for the lunch plan and another for a dinner for one day of week. I am glad that I was able to stay home and not go anywhere or buy anything. Yeah, tomorrow's grocery run will be more than usual, but that should be most of what I need to buy for the week.

Another day where I wasn't very productive. It was one of those days where I would blink and it was an hour and a half later. But I guess that it is good to have a day to sit down and not do anything. I did poke at the financial program a bit. I decided to move all of the bills from the last Thursday of the month every month to the first day of the month each month. I'm not sure if that will make much difference, but at least they're all budgeted to happen at the beginning of the month and it looks like they're all going to be able to happen right at the beginning of the month. I tried to budget the Rent for the beginning of the month as well, but that just wasn't fitting...for now; we'll see how well the savings plans go to start doing that.

Baked some chicken for lunch. I think I baked it for too long though. The last time I baked it the chicken came out a bit on the raw side so I put it in for a bit longer and today it came out dry and tough.

I did have to get up to pee a lot today, but that might be because of the gallon of Tea that I drank this afternoon.

The weather was nice to grill the cheeseburger patties though. Those did come out nicely.

I'll be able to go to bed at a reasonable time this evening because the streamer that I usually watch on Monday nights was having technical issues, which is fine by me because I am tired.
