It took a while for the Instant Pot to get up to pressure, and that was after the rushing around to get it in the pot itself. The plan was to get the instant pot chili set up for the lunch for the week. Well, I was going to do that yesterday, but I needed to do laundry yesterday. And as it only takes 35 minutes at pressure to cook this chili and I was scheduled to work at 11:30 instead of 11am I figured that it would be fine to get that pot done before work. It was taking so long for it to get to pressure I looked it up on Reddit, and apparently the larger recipes take longer to pressurize because the entire pot has to get up to boiling ...

Well, I took the car to the shop and when I said what was going on and I said that I'm praying that it just needs the oil changed the guys at the shop were really insistent that it was NOT going to be fixed by just changing the oil. And it wouldn't be a great idea to drive it back and forth too much. He did say that it would be fine to leave it at the shop until they get the chance to work on it. Some of their people are out of town on training so they wont be able to fix it today, but they'll really try to get it done tomorrow. They didn't want to give a time estimate without looking closer at the car. But they didn't seem to be worried and it didn't seem to be something that they haven't seen before. The computer that they plugged into the car said that the check engine light was because of high oil pressure. But it could be any number of things that is causing that error.

Roommate isn't happy about that the car being in the shop he has appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He spent the day pouting that he had to delay the appointment until tomorrow afternoon when the city's bus service is running.

They called me back later in the afternoon and said that it was the oil pressure sensor went bad. It will cost $420 before tax to get it fixed, but he sounded pretty confident that he'll be able to get it sorted out. He was able to get it done and fixed today. Transferring the money from my savings accounts hurt. And it looks like it'll be a couple of months before I recover from the charge. The mechanic did say that I was lucky that I got it in right away and just didn't drive around on it. And I have to say that paying for the repair sucks, but paying for a whole new car would suck a whole lot more. What really sucks is the end of March is the end of the quarter and if I understand correctly I would have had enough in my Bill Savings account to actually get an interest payment. probably a couple of pennies, but hey, that's still something that doesn't happen very often. But never mind on that. And hey, if I were still drinking there would be no way in hell that I would be able to pay for that repair.

I didn't print anything today as well, 1. I was distracted by the car problems. And 2. The website that I send the 3D files to have to send to the printer has a 50 part per month limit. Or at least the free version of the site has that limit. It is annoying that every single thing in modern life has pay walls and subscription services that they're trying to sell you. Then again it is a free service, so maybe I shouldn't complain. The site looks like it is designed with schools and print businesses in mind. So a hobbyist like me shouldn't have any problems and I figured that if I limit the printing to every other day that's only about 15 parts a month which will leave me well under the limit of the free service. I'm not sure how many pieces it'll take to get the entire Master Chief suit printed off. But that just gives me more time to work on the diet and working out.

Speaking of which I didn't get to the YMCA today either. I was just too worried about my car to go work out. I might go Friday if I remember to. I might go tomorrow if I wake up early enough. I'm going to go to bed quite early for me because I'm just so tired from worrying all day long.
