It helped that I didn't have Twitter (I'm sorry “X”) on my phone. I couldn't find my tape-measure so I'm not 100% certain on my waist measurement, but I'm not going to guess that it changed much. My belly is feeling a bit tight, but that might be the Seltzer water that. I forgot that I wanted to wait until I was done at the Y to step on the scale. And when I first woke up I stepped on it and it said, 353.8 lbs (160.5 kg) That's 1.8 lbs (0.8 kg) up from yesterday. I tried to console myself with the idea of daily fluctuations and happiness isn't a number on the scale. That was a good motivator to go to the YMCA like I want to be doing. And when I got back from the Y

I woke up this morning. It did take me a bit to wake up properly, but that is a bit of the “A body at rest tends to stay at rest” kind of thing. And a bit of the fact that I finished that entire package of corona hard seltzer. But when I did manage to convince myself to get up I got a text from a coworker asking me if I could come in early; she had weekend plans that she hadn't planned for. I'm a bit annoyed by this, but I am pretty close to 40 hours and I'm not exactly in the position to turn down hours (not in an a precarious place so there is no need to worry, it's just that I could be in a slightly better position financially.) And she only wants me to come in a half an hour early. Whatever, a bit annoying, but a half an hour more of the thing I was already doing isn't going to bother me. Particularly if it might get me some overtime.

Holy God!

Today was absolutely INSANE. I am convinced that every single person in South Central Kansas decided to go to the store today. And PRAISE JEHOVAH everybody decided to show up for work today. Which really is a rarity. I don't know why it is so hard to show up for work each day. But that is getting into a “store story” But we were still a bit understaffed because of the sheer stampede of people that stormed through the store today. But Thank CHRIST people seemed to understand that a lot of people were around them. It is strange (to me) when people complain when they have to wait their turn when it gets busy. But HOLY UPON HOLIES  no one complained (to me) that they had to wait their turn to check out. Someone who worked in produce decided to quit. (somehow I doubt he gave his “two weeks” but I am not responsible for produce.) But back on topic for this Blog for lunch I was going to go to the deli for some fried chicken. (just for the comfort of an old habit) But there was a long line for the deli and I noticed that they had gotten back in the prepackaged salads that they had in before so I picked up a “Chef Salad” and a can of the sugar free monster energy that they had a display of next to the deli island. It could have used a bit more dressing in it. (who likes “naked” salad?) unfortunately a bag of crunchy Cheetos were calling to me as I checked out. There is no excuse for me to have picked that up, other than the fact that they sounded really good.

Unfortunately when I left from work it was too hard to walk past the beer cooler without picking up a a 12 pack case of Bud light. I also picked up a two pack of pork stakes. I do realize that the bud light isn't even close to Keto, and I do realize that I'm struggling with a bit of a beer addiction. (not quite ready for meetings, but it's something I need to work on) I was going to grill the steaks, but right as the grill was warming up a line of thunderstorms moved through. I have grilled in the rain before, but I wasn't in the mood this evening. So I just turned on the oven and baked them. For 350 F for 45 minutes. A few weeks ago I made a video comparing A1to Heinz 57 on a prime rib. And I said that A1 is good on the Prime Rib, but I do have to say that the Heinz 57 does do pretty good with a pork steak. At least after a 12 pack of Bud Light (not sponsored)
